Yes I just read the article. I was sitting here thinking if I should wait for the FBI to pick me up or just turn myself in now.

If I had $70k waiting, I'd rather go to Switzerland and open the account there
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...

You can travel to Mexico for a lot less than $400. I live about 40 miles from the Mexican border and have been looking into opening a Mexican bank account. The process is easier than I expected . Note that a 6-month residency visa is available for about $20 at the border and may be required for a bank account.

Regarding the original post, I have about $500 in my Neteller account. I haven't attempted a withdrawal yet. I've been keeping it open for peer to peer transfers. After reading the earlier posts about P2P, I'll start trying to get the money out.

Might prove to be a good short term solution aka, but I tend to think with the wod, war on gambling, etc. the Mexican gumnt would eventually mess with you.

Personally I would rather go to heathrow than Meheeco, I'd just feel safer.

btw, I've really enjoyed reading the long thread where you came on here, great info and a pleasure to read.

Did you ever figure out what happened to your neteller acct.? Like I said in that thread, for the days the attempted withdrawals occured it translated precisely to Venezualan bolivars. Hope that was some help.

I'm another unfortunate member of the 5K club...

aka23, I'd be very interested if you try the Mexican bank thing.

I had considered the same with a Canadian bank but figured I'd also need to establish a foreign address, no?

Again, here is some hyperbole and conjecture http://www.slogold.net/
TB looked into the site deeper than I did and found that they stopped offering debit cards a couple of weeks before the US/NT debacle. But something along this route or what WB posted with the 'introduction service' may be a good way for 'volume' players to stay in the game. Check the tabs at slogold, if they aren't up and up, it shouldn't be too hard to find someone who is; depending on volume$.

What I have learned through applications is that 'throughput' is not important unless it is accompanied by a sizable 'daily balance'. I'll have to try another route or use someone else's leverage because I was never smart enough to leave money in a US bank.

I am not promoting or endorsing any info I put out here, just posting.

I was told going to another country would not help you get US funds. You can open a foreign Neteller account, but they will not transfer your US Neteller funds. Neteller is also currently not taking new merchant applications.
