    YouTeller "false" claims

    YouTeller "false" claims

A new payments processor which says it will be open for business in March this year appears to be falsely claiming to be certified by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).

Just received this in my inbox from EGaming Review. Does anyone know anything more about this. I can't remember my login for EGaming Review to read the full article.

Just be careful folks concerning new payment processors.

Excuse me??? Can I know what's so false about their claim??? Do you even know what you're talking about???

Please note that YouTeller is a Trademark of Seed Capital Ltd. Do you know what that means? It means taht YouTeller is just a name, the real company is called Seed Capital Ltd.

They are totally under the FSA's approved list. Please do check it out yourself. Don't be accusing them of anything or being false when you don't even know what you're talking about. GEEZ... Although I don't work for them or even have any relations with them, I HATE IT when someone accuses another company/person for being FALSE or etc!
You win some, you lose some... nobody can win it all.

So are you certifying that Yuoteller is completely on the up and up and everything is in order?

Do not shoot the messenger. This was word for word from the email I received from E Gaming Review who are normally a reputable and reliable source.

If you read my comment at the end of the post you would have noticed I said:

I guess an apology is out of the question

soflat, here's the full story from eGaming Review. It's been difficult to gather information on YouTeller and other new payment options for U.S. players, though NuCharge (Bodog), InstaPAY (Intertops) and MyWebATM (Full Tilt) do look like proprietary solutions. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these.

    --

A new payments processor which says it will be open for business in March this year appears to be falsely claiming to be certified by the UK Financial Services Authority (FSA).

YouTeller claims on its website to be a trademark of a company called Seed Capital Ltd, and gives an address in east London. A link on the company’s contacts page then diverts to the FSA register of Small E-Money Issuers where a company called Seed Capital Ltd is indeed listed.

However, a search on the FSA website reveals the company behind Seed Capital Ltd to be Oxford Technology Management, a company based in Oxford. When contacted by eGaming Review, a spokesperson at Oxford Technology Management said the company had never heard of YouTeller.

YouTeller also gives a registration number for Companies House in the UK on its website. A search under the number given comes up with the same east London address as the YouTeller website. The only director registered is one Florian Schweitzer with an address given in Austria.

This Seed Capital Ltd was registered at Companies House in October 2006. The other Seed Capital Ltd, from Oxford, registered its name at Companies House in July of last year. Schweitzer is not registered personally with the FSA.

A spokesperson for the FSA said the matter had been passed on to the relevant department for investigation.

Neither YouTeller or Schweitzer was available for comment.

This is what he posted at WOL

    Dear Madam, dear Sir,

Seed Capital Ltd. is the owner of a 'Small E-Money Issuer Certificate'. The Oxford based 'Seed Capital (Publishing) Ltd.' may have an other authorization granted by the British Financial Services Authority, but the company that is listed as a Small E-Money Issuer on the FSA website is definitely our company based in London.

    http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/WebCHeck/fastrack/

If you have questions please don't hesitate the contact us.

    Sincerely,

    Florian Schweitzer

when you click on the link he provided:
    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/eMoney.do

yes, you can see Seed Capital Ltd. on the list. But, and its a Big But, if you then click on searches at the upper left corner of the page it will bring you to
    http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do
put “Seed Capital Ltd.” In the “firm name” slot and you get Oxford Technology Management Limited not Youteller or anything else. If the FSA’s site is mistaken then they need to correct it.

Below is what you get when you do an FSA search for “Seed Capital Ltd.”:

    Basic details for:
121929 - Oxford Technology Management Limited

    Current status:
    Authorised
    Effective Date: 01/12/2001
    Address: Magdalen Centre
