What does George W have to do with this?

Besides signing the port security bill passed by congress.

Which any president would have done.

PS - This is a rhetorical question. I'm just posing it to point out your ignorance.

You can log in...(at least I was able to) but you can't get your transaction to go through, if you are a US player. I tried a credit card deposit and it just said "rejected"...no reason given.

Does anyone have any suggestions for US players other than credit cards? Right now the only place that my cc deposit will go through is Virtual. (ooooohhhh....scary!)

Oooh, obviously a George W fan, which I am not. (Even tho' I'm from Texas, imagine that!) And sorry, I don't agree that "any President would have signed the bill".....he could have made an issue out of it, but instead, I think he kinda likes the idea of being able to tell us what we can do with our money. I saw an interview he did on the subject and he was all too HAPPY to sign it.

I'm far from a GW supporter, so keep that in mind when you read the following.

What was he supposed to do? Veto the port bill because of this? I doubt it. I doubt any other president would either.

    Ignorance is bliss?

that punk, my President had options; signing statement (line item veto) total veto, or 'control of his 'owned' congress. So eff that punk in this discussion. he is a shill, a scammer, and a POS. Fuck him.

But like the 'newt' in monty's circus, he can get better. i wouldn't bet on it based on his latest speech.

Oh well. Once a punk, always a punk.

If it doesn't have to do with Iraq, he doesn't really care, and will sign anything.

Hey, I have the solution for everything:

Let's get a Dem to attach something onto a major bill that says GW must resign ASAP.

I'm sure he'll sign that too.

Hmmm, but then we'd be stuck with Cheney....nevermind

Although....he's about due for another heart attack. What will this one be since he's been VP? His 12th?

Be a stand up guy and a true leader maybe !.

He knowingly signed off on this Bill knowing full well that congress had rejected this several times before and did not have the opportunity to fully debate it and if this is the only way that a Bill can now get passed in this country is by attaching it to another or by public deception, then we are really in trouble.

Think about it....next time a particular group or lobby organization wants to get some really controversial Bill slid thru, they just have to attach it to another, hidden deep in the back pages without the American public being fully aware of what the Bill really consists of.

If they can do this with this one issue who the hell knows what else one particular group will try to attach and get slid thru without the American public knowing what the Bill really contains and consists of. This attachment was never really mentioned at all in the media. All that was talked about was the Safe Port's Act.

All he had to do was to tell them to remove this attachment until there was ample time to fully debate it's merits in congress and re-submit the Safe Port's Act Bill and he would be glad to sign off on it.

A little piece of our freedom's here, a little piece there and before you know it we have lost more and more of our Rights to do want we want with our money and after that it will be what and when we can do with our time...everyone needs to wake up to this fact whether you are a gambler or not, this is not what this is about, but the fact that we are continuously being put under a microcosm of freedom's being lost a little more each day.
