I doubt the $5000 was a casino deposit at one of these two due to the sheer size of it. Someone may have intercepted your card information earlier, and used it just now. of course, it is possible that the information was lifted from the registration details for the card - there is enough given to an MG casino for it to work in a "card not present" fraud. Even the 3 digit security number can be recorded from the first ever deposit attempt, and some sites still don't bother with this extra check beyond card number & expiry, relying on the fact the correct name & address was used. A recent news item stated that the new "chip & pin" scheme has reduced fraud by 5% - but it would have been more except for the dramatic increase in online and telephone card fraud, where "chip & pin" is irrelevant.

Please Private Message Me ASAP
Dear VayCayMom
Please private message me as soon as possible (providing your casino account number) so that I can look into your case. Alternatively, try contacting our player support team reporting what has happened to you. At this point I don't fully know if I can help, but I will make some inquiries on your behalf. (I will be out of my office on monday and tuesday so the soonest I will be able to act is wednesday) Kind Regards Vegas VIP Lounge Representative |

This screams "key logger" to me. Have you checked your PC for viruses and scumware - key loggers are rampant (key loggers track every key you type, capture the data and send it out).
I'd have a really good check with an AV ("AVG Free" v7.5 maybe) and get "ZoneAlarm Free" (firewall) installed straight away if you haven't already. ZoneAlarm will prompt you every time something trys to send data out from your PC and you have the option to Allow/Deny temporarily or permanently. Every gambler should have those from Day 1 and take a few minutes to learn how the firewall works - it's easy enough but worth understanding so you know how to block/unblock if you Accept/Deny the wrong thing Cheers Simmo! |
