Angry How Do I Get Casinos to STOP Calling Me?

I've told this casino (and 1 in the past) on the phone specifically not to call me, but I still get calls every so often. Online casinos should correspond by email strictly because of the nature of the business; having things in writing is incredibly important. Also, I simply don't want calls from them. There's a national do-not-call list for telemarketers, but none for casinos -argh. If I wanted to talk to the casino on the phone, I'd call them.

Do you by chance have a VOIP service? If so, you can simply block their # free of charge.

If not, you may want to check and see if your telco offers this service for free, also

    May not work

This is unlikely to work as dodgy telemarketers will use number masking techniques when they call. In the UK, there is a code that we can use to determine who has just called. Invariably, when used after one of these marketing calls it will read "the callers number is not available/has been withheld". Without knowing the number, it is impossible to set a specific block. It may be possible as here in the UK to block ALL calls from withheld numbers, but this could also filter out calls you really want.

Any reputable casino will honour a request specifically not to call, however if you never intend to answer, give a number you don't use such as an old mobile one, or a second line.

This goes far wider than unwanted calls from casinos, and telecom companies are being pressurised to release tools so that customers can protect themselves from such intrusions.

What also would work is to call them and tell them you have a new number....get the idea?

I'm sure the casino has at least 1 person to read these boards, so while this method might not work, they hopefully they get the message. and if they didn't get the message I'll say it straight out: Do NOT call my cell phone - especially if you're an RTG casino that I've specifically asked not to call me!

    Learn a foreign lauguage

Refuse to understand any English when they call. Has the added bonus of you being able to mock them without them understanding a word.

If you don't care to learn an entire lauguage, here are a few useful phrases:

"Yo no entiendo. Por favor habla espaniol. Hijo de puta!"

"Je ne comprend pas, s'il vous plait parlez francais. Merde! Merde!"

"Bitte, sprechen Sie deutsch, Sie Arschsloch. Bitte warten Sie, ich muss zum Geschäft gehen um mehr Bier zo holen"

On a lot of casino sites you can tell them not to call or when you register simply email their support and tell them to make you a do not call.

Really hate it when they call. What the heck are they thinking! Maybe you are playing online and your spouse has no clue! LOL... That happened to me.

If I want to talk to them I will call them!
