Fortune Lounge calling me at home?

Has anyone gotten a call from Fortune Lounge? I was watching TV last night and the phone rang. It was a guy from fortune lounge telling me that I have a 100 free spins waiting in my acct.

When they asked for my phone number during registration, they claimed it was verification if you win money, not to call you at night and try to get you to gamble

    Geeeesh!!!

VIP Lounge keeps calling me, I give them to voice mail and make them leave a message and never call them back.

Calling players unless they have specifically opted in knowingly is intrusive. I'd be very p*ssed off if a casino called me up...they can email me fine, but that's where the buck stops IMO.

    Unfortunate Fonecalls

    Yep, same here.

After not playing for a while (because their promotions were crap & I had only a 9Gig drive - so guess what group drew the short straw ) I received a phone call asking me if I was having issues with the casino. Naturally, this was actually a "sales pitch" as a promise of a come-back offer was made, and was kept.
The issue, though, is being phoned for marketing rather than urgent reasons. Some casinos make the WORK number compulsory (I don't work now, but if I did, I would simply put my home number, although if I believed they would actually use it for marketing I would put the NTL CrapPhone number that I never use because it is a rip-off to call out).

Perhaps players should have to opt in to receive calls for marketing purposes. They now email me, they were concerned for my health last week Seems I hadn't had a healthy work out for 3 days at the casino!

Must admit, telephone is one thing that I never give a casino, last thing you want is them pestering you at home.

When you have to put in a number during registration, I put in a false no. Casinos have asked for no. (and I have provided under express instructions never to use again) a couple of times when cashing out with no problems.

Would stress that all other info I give is legit just never a telephone number.

I think this is one area where I would be surprised if they did cancel winnings for false info as sure they understand but any experiences to the contrary, let's hear them.

Aren't they just setting themselves up to be busted by soliciting deposits over the phone to customers in the USA?

Unfortunately, FL have a bad history for this sort of unethical nonsense. Report the buggers to eCOGRA.

Get an 0870, 0871 or a premium rate number which can be forwarded to your home number, and give it to the people who want your phone number but whom you don't want to call you. If they call you, you earn money.

I have certainly thought of this, but it can cost rather than pay if the junk callers call my bluff and I get no calls.
I was also thinking of connecting said 0870 number to my PC with a program to lead the caller through one of those damn menu systems!!!
