    Shark Casino & Citadel...

    Hi all,

i've been looking at shark casino and have used a no deposit bonus for 200 bucks! i've turned the $200 into $350 through playing a little BJ. Now i asked at customer service for the t&c's and apparently payment is restricted to a max of $200 after WR by citadel check only.

heres the crux of the matter: i'm in the UK.

customer service said that citadel checks only apply to US citizens...in short: bugger!

now i've had some fun and could call it a day at that but i just wanted to ask the knowledgable if there was *any* way i could claim the $200...as i say i wont lose sleep over it but it would be nice to collect what i've won...

    Awai.

I would suggest clicking the "Casino Contacts" link in the menu up top Awai and send a PM to Phyngster the Shark casino rep asking if he can suggest a solution.

cheers simmo...i shall do that. tbh i've been pretty impressed with the BJ at shark so will probably make a realmoney deposit later in the week too.

the customer service guy was polite about it so i dont really have a gripe, but it seems stange that in this age of 21st century banking i cant recieve a cheque from a US company...

more reseach...a "citadel cheque" is a cheque that only citadel themselves will cash - ie. i have to have a citadel account to collect the money. speaking to citadel last night they have said (or at least a livehelp rep has said) that as a non US citizen i cant have a citadel checking account.

i pushed the rep as citadel have a "european HQ" in reading and said "would there be *any* way to process a cheque to my UK account and the rep has told me that non US citizens can open a "mycitadel account" instead and that if i asked polietly the check would be routed by citadel into that account instead.

looks promising but i'm not holding my breath until i've got the green in my hands...i'll keep everyone informed...if anyone has more info on this or experience then that'd be great

    Just as I thought.

What has happened is just what I thought would be the catch for this offer, posted in the other thread that didn't want to name the casino involved.
This is a nasty "stunt" for the casino to pull if it didn't make it clear that this offer was for US players only, as only US players can use a Citadel Cheque.
Hearing it is Shark casino, along with the other issues they have, I am less surprised.
With the current climate in the US, this was a very dangerous stunt to pull if any of the directors of Shark casino ever enter America, as there is no way they will be able to argue that US players were not specifically targeted by this offer!

Couple of the things here to reply to. Firstly we are not going to bullied by the pending legislation going on in the US. Would rather take a wait and make sure attitude. As weel as I am aware US banks have not been receiving or taking funds from casinos for awhile. Secondly the terms and conditions were clearly posted on the offer. Lastly as far as Citadel goes, we anticipated a lot of wins from this affiliate promotion and earmarked those funds in our Citadel account. At this time our funds in Neteller are to pay the current depositers, and we can not transfer the Citadel funds to the Neteller account to pay the European Winners. As soon as the promotion is over I will be able to pay the Europen players through Neteller, but it will be a few weeks, instead of a few days for players we will pay through Citadel.

In other words it is not a cheque/check.
