It's a little late now, don't you think?

And now that it's illegal I'm not putting my name on anything like that, it is like an admission of guilt.

The Christian Right rules us all, just accept it and do what they tell you from now on.

Okay, this is getting out of hand. Online gambling is NOT illegal. You are perpetuating misinformation that the press and half the players keep spewing.

To many damn Chicken Likkens around here. Pay attention to what is being said in the threads that have tried to make sense of this bill.

This only affects monetary transactions and maybe ISPs. It has nothing to do with being illegal or not.

Thanks Bryan for that post. I couldn't agree more, and it needed to be said. Silcnlayc has the right idea, she's been writing senators, congressman, the Whitehouse, radio and tv stations, newspapers, etc. since this started. If every single US poster here did the same, and signed petitions...maybe even started a petition of their own, you just never know what kind of snowball effect you could start. This is NOT a slam against anyone in particular here, but over the last year or two here, I have noticed so many people who are more than willing to naysay and voice a negative opinion about something - but who will actually do very little in a proactive sense. Have you guys ever heard that old saying "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem?" That really is relevant here. If I were a US citizen, I'd be knocking on my neighbour's doors with a petition in my hand, I'd be down at the local radio station, I'd be hounding the editor of the local newspaper until someone agreed to talk to me...and give this thing some exposure.

What I see happening is a form of mass panic taking over on a lot of fronts...operators, affiliates, players and press. Now is the time when you should all be fighting against this, and if you don't do your part, then you shouldn't complain "if" the US Government ever does actually succeed in making online gaming illegal. Are there no true "activists/crusaders" among this crowd?

    *stepping down off soapbox*...rant over!!

Admission of guilt for??? OMG...I am really so tired of this mentality..I guess we deserve what we are getting..but I am not going down easily even if you want to lay down and die..

For I believe this "for your own good" they are shoving down our throats won't stop here. Whats next?

I am guilty...very guilty of enjoying my evenings staying home playing online casinos with my husband, whether it's me or him watching, and sitting in our chair, feet propped up and chatting while I am playing or vice a versa. We do not enjoy the crowds in restaurants (and I love cooking), or the movie prices charged (we rent movies once in a while) so we stay home after working a 40-60 hour week because we are TIRED. This is our time to "wind down" after a long day (week) and now it is being taken away. I am furious!

I do not want to drive 4 hours to a casino for then I am even more tired. Geezes...grow some **** people... (Time to go write, call, harrass a few more)

You know Silc, you and I would make a formidable team should a subject ever arise that affects both of us. I wouldn't wanna be going against us.

Silly, we have an office with a large computer desk on one side of the room and a office glider chair and ottoman opposite it where one can sit and relax where you can see the monitor while the other is sitting at the desk and playing...too funny!

Careful there ..you might just surprise yourself doing that and that poor mouse might just end up dying if you rub too hard..lmao!
