    Microgaming Aces and Eights Paytable?

I swear I never saw this VP game at Microgaming before - Aces and Eights - maybe I just assumed it was Aces and Faces. Anyway, after discovering it I hopped on to the Wizard's site to check out the paytable. There isn't one specifically for this paytable, however, his top-paying table has a 99.78% payback.

Microgaming's Aces and Eights paytable is exactly the same as the 99.78% paytable except the Straight Flush pays 70x instead of 50x. While I know it is incorrect to do so, if you use the 99.78% paytable and just substitute 70 instead of 50 for the Straight Flush (assuming the exact same combinations, which is most likely incorrect), the total overall payout becomes an astounding 99.995537%.

If/when the combinations are fully and properly analyzed, is it safe to say that this game probably has slightly more than a 100% payback? Can someone with a little more mathematical/actuarial fortitude than myself please check into this?

And in the meantime - Microgaming, can you please make a 100-Hand Power Poker version of this game with the exact same paytable and perfect-strategy auto-hold please?

I ran it in my VP software, and it shows 100.0001%. Your calculations are probably correct, but don't account for (probably minor) strategy changes between the two paytables.

Are you sure the paytable is correct?

800-70-80-50-25-8-5-4-3-2-1 is what I typed in.

Using WinPoker I got 99.09% with a Variance of 21.6.

The 'Other' 4 of a Kinds only pay 20 (not 25).

Yeah, I just looked that up. You're right, the 4 of a kind pays 20, not 25, and I'm showing the exact same 99.09%.

Too bad. Would have been nice to play an over 100% VP game online.

If there were any games out there paying over 100% return I am sure we would all let the casino know immediately.
