Received Two Cards after Double in Pontoon

I played Pontoon at Slots of Vegas (RTG) last night. On several occasions, I received two cards after doubling, rather than the expected single card. Any idea why this might occur? Note that the site was having server problems last nght.

Automatic hit when less than 14?

There was not an automatic hit without a double, regardless of number of cards. There was also not an automatic stand when drawing Pontoon (Blackjack),

You get an automatic hit only when you double and have a total of 14 or less after the first double card is dealt. There are no automatic hits or stands otherwise.
