Cool Golden Palace Casino: Roulette - Rigged?

Hey guys. Got a question for ya today. First post here! Hi-hi.

Considering that real casinos have had stipulations labelled on them as being able to rig games into their favour to ensure profit, can't the same be said about online casino programs?

Online Casino games that I have come across have not been government audited and claim to be under regulation of certain gaming commissions. How legitimate are they, is what I find questionable, since most casinos are set offshore.

I have been using Golden Palace lately, and I find that sometimes the numbers are a bit funny. And sure, it could simply be bad luck -- but sometimes the patterns in the numbers just doesn't seem right. Doesn't seem logical, but I've been skeptical, since I've lost over $800 that I had built up from a mere $35 in Roulette.

So what's the overall concensus here? Is Golden Palace a possibly-rigged casino? If it isn't, how are there ways to find out if a casino has a rigging algorithm encrypted in it's program?

And what are some good programs out there? What kind of roulette strategies do you fellow users use (for those who play roulette?)

I look forward to your responses!

    You built $35 into $800 into $0?

Sounds like a roulette game to me

Hello Paradigm and welcome to the insanity!

Rigging happens to be a hot topic as of late..........use the search function on each page (toolbar) and give yourself plenty of time for reading.

I think we cant find ways to find out if a casino has a rigging algorithm encrypted in it's program. We have to believe them.

Sure! (I have a little bit programming experience). Just to make a couple of changes in the programm, f.e. that the ball choses the cheapest bet on the table (even if every number is covered on a multiplayer roulette table.)

I don't play any system, IMHO it doesn't work online. I use my intuition and I usually feel right away if the software is rigged. I can't explain how.

It happens all the time to me!
I manage to cash out only :

If my good luck last so looong, that I am tired to play and go to bed
    or
I play at casino where I know exactly that if I don't watch out my €200-300 allowed win-limit will go with light-speed to zero.

    Hi Paradigm & Welcome

As much as I dislike Golden Palace personally (though for their marketing practices so hence have never played there), they use "Playtech" software which is widely used. Playtech take some stick for their licensing policies but it's generally accepted that the software plays a "fair" game.

Additionally, you'll also find that the RNG and the software is "boxed" and cannot be altered by individual casinos. So, if GP is "rigged", then so is every other Playtech licencee (of which their are many including some BIG names like The Ritz & Tote) and it would probably have been spotted by now as they've been round the block.

I think most players here would put Playtech software in their Top 5, even Top 3, software platforms and it's pretty good eye candy too - you'll certainly prefer watching their roulette wheel over other (Microgaming software) casinos

Detecting you may not know this - so sorry if you do - but most (not all) casinos licence the software from one of several casino software providers. So you'll find many casinos look exactly the same except for colour schemes and branding. The big providers like Playtech, Cryptologic and Microgaming, which between them make up the majority of the "reputable" (my opinion!) casino market, do not allow casinos to manipulate the software. RTG (RealTime Gaming) software on the other hand, does allow casinos to alter the paytables on certain games. That doesn't mean every RTG casino is dodgy - there are some very good ones in fact - but it does mean you need to research them a bit more first if you want to be safe. There are other softwares out there too (Wagerlogic, OddsOn, Chartwell, Boss Media etc) with a lesser market share but offering different games.

    Anyway, hope that helps some.

    Cheers,

    Simmo!

    True

Playtech can't be fixed by the casino ...

But remember... is not a weird story to hear from someone lossing at a casino.

Regarding Softwares, I guarantee you that other than their weird and odd marketing department Golden Palace is fine. Naming a baby Golden Palace or buyin the bath tub from where Marin L. K. was shot doesn't mean they will rip you off.

Remember Roulette is a difficult game... plus is easy to lose a lot of money in one to 5 spins.

Wagerlogic is the gaming software division of Cryptologic... Very respected now days...
