The Frugal Gambler- by jean scott ?
I never read it however I am familiar with it.
Jean has appeared in a few Las Vegas specials on television.
In one episode, she showed how to make the most of the many
coupons available throughout the strip.
Some had things like getting a free hand on blackjack, specials
on meals (buy one, get one free; free glass of wine, etc...), etc..
Vegas is very competitive because there are so many casino's
to choose from. If you live in Vegas or are planning a trip you
might get some good tips from it.

I am familiar with her also. She is a contributing writer for Casino Player magazine, which is a very good read. I had a subscription for several years. She likes to stay and play at the Venetion Casino in Vegas and I met her at a slot tournament I was in. They were taping a Vegas special at the time. Very nice lady and very smart when it comes to comps. If you are going to a casino for a vacation, it would probably be beneficial to take a look at her book.

I recommend it to anyone interested in getting most out of your gambling dollar in land based casinos. Very often comps offer the only chance at getting the least bit of an edge for a gambler.
Scott's more recent book More Frugal Gambling is a bit more current. If land based casino comps is your interest, you may also want to check out Comp City by Max Rubin.

Unfortunately, I hardly ever get a chance to go to Vegas. Thankfully, online has been a "lifesaver" for me. I can get my gambling fix, without leaving town. Last time I went to Vegas, I took my laptop with me and was playing online poker from my hotel room. Now that is SICK!![]()
Just an additional comment. Although each of these books discusses ways to get more bang for your buck in casinos, Frugal's main foundation is video poker, and Comp City's bread and butter is blackjack.
