My guess is that it's simply a novelty thing, a "secret" VIP club is exciting, generates publicity (QED), and makes people speculate as to how a membership is awarded. It makes the Casino more interesting. From a marketing point of view, it's an attraction. I've seen similar clubs in restaurants, bars (I even got invited to oneOriginally Posted by caruso
) They don't have any strict criteria, they're just there to make the place more interesting and to attract prominent people, who in turn attract the rest. In 32Red's case, I'm sure it attracts those who have a big bankroll. You know, VIP treatment, bonuses, free money gifts, cigars and all. I don't think they have a set wagering limit. My guess is that acceptance is a multifactorial decision.
So, no big deal IMO. Just their way of doing things. I think they treat everyone very well. Much better than other casinos.
Cheers,
SM
Well,
I'm a club rouge member and I've been invited to become a VIP at 32red not so long time after I signed-up there last year.
Besides the comp program, I do not see a big difference if I had not been a 32RED club rouge's member. The CS staff is perfect, whether you're a member or not.
My gambling profile : deposited about 13000USD there in 2005, cashed-out less than I deposited (not so much less hopefully), high-roller on principally VP and slots. I do not ask for bonuses and cash out only when I have a win bigger than 1500USD.
I think there are a lot of phantasms considering the Club Rouge. And as slotmachine previously underligned, this is a typical marketing thing : to maintain the mistery.
And as far as free money is concerned, I do not think any business can survive with philantropic minds. Yes I had at my birthday a "deposit 200USD, play with 500USD" offer, no Christmas gift, and sometimes ( not every month of course) when the wheel is continuously on an unlucky trend, they gave me free money, that is actually the 132USD match bonus I do not ask for (with the WR attached).
That said, 32RED is without question the best MG place to play at. How can I say this : I've signed-up at at least 25 of the most reputable MG casino of the place, and 32RED is the number one.
I remember also that during their Christmascracker challenge (there was one for the club rouge members, one for the non-members), the winner of the challenge accumulated about 45000 (not sure so far of the amount, maybe I've forgotten a zero). Considering you've got one comp point for every ten chips wagered (ok it depends if it's slot or tables), you can all imagine how such members are valued by the casino and how we are far from this somehow.
At the end of the day, the thing gambler should never forget is that you've got far more chances to win or to win big when you play in places that are frequented by a lot of players. You can measure it when you make a deposit. A number is affected for the transaction. Make another deposit one hour later and you'll see, even during the week in the morning, that the number has well increase. If you are all alone at depositing 100 to one place during a game session, and considering a 90 % payout percentage for instance, that means the most you can do during this session is to lose 10 tokens. I think 32RED is one of this place on the Web, where a lot of people play so where you can make good things. That's why I'll go on playing there, and I'll do it, even if I was not illegible for a kind of marketing membership.

Hi,
Thanks to you all, as ever, for some lively debate about 32Red’s Club Rouge programme.
On behalf of the team at 32Red, please allow me to explain our position in respect of membership to Club Rouge.
We are not being secretive in any way about the qualifying 'rules' for membership, quite simply because we do not have hard and fast rules formulated. The Club Rouge programme is in place to reward players for their patronage at 32Red, and we use it as a way of saying thank you to players from a number of different angles.
In essence, ‘Slotmachine’ has hit the nail on the head where he says that ‘acceptance is a multifactorial decision’.
We obviously look at players who are frequent visitors to 32Red and those that are high staking. We don’t limit membership by the types of games played and we have as many Blackjack, Roulette and Video Poker players as we have Slots players in Club Rouge. There are a number of players who have been offered membership simply for the support and ideas that they have offered 32Red. Indeed there are some players, few in number I must admit, that have declined our invitation because they see membership as being not for them.
This flexibility in our approach enables us to remain fully focused on delivering a service that is personal to all of our players, an approach that is especially dear to all at 32Red and one that appears to be appreciated by our players.
We are always happy to consider membership requests (either PM me or drop me an email) but I hope that Forum members understand that for Club Rouge to remain ‘special’ it must maintain an element of subjectivity when it comes to the qualifying rules.
The only stringent criterion that we do have is in respect of the length of time that a player has been playing with 32Red; generally, we would look to consider only those players who have been playing with us for at least a month or two.
I hope that explains our position, but please feel free to drop me a line should anyone require any more feedback.

Here is the view from a 'low-roller'. I know bonus whores would like to join 'Club Rouge' for the high monthly bonus, and it would be very bad business to hand it out to everyone and his dog. So it is very fair it is only given to very loyal customers and especially highrollers.
However all the low-rollers are not collecting rubys, which actually makes
32Red one of the lowest MG payout casinos due to loyalty points offered at
almost every other MG casino. This is my only problem with not being a member of 'Club Rouge'.
I am more than happy with the monthly bonus for normal customers, but I want rubies!

Can't be exact but from my records, in a 3 month period in 2005, I deposited over £23000 and withdrew less than this. 32Red is a losing casino for me overall I think (can't be 100% sure about that) but that is just the luck of the draw and I am up in the majority of casinos I have played.
I did post a screenshot a while ago in the "Winners" thread showing when I hit a "Blackjack" on a £2500 bet at 32red. I am sure this is the biggest single hand win on Blackjack ever posted on the forum and should reassure people about the fairness of the games at 32red.
