Slotland Official Reply
Hello,
This is Robert from the Slotland Customer Service Department. Firstly I would like to thank to all Casinomeister members who expressed their opinion on this forum regarding our JacksOrBetter game. As all of our games share the same progressive Jackpot, they need to share the the same mechanism which determines the jackpot win as well. Thus, with card games, the probability of hitting the jackpot combination is not natural but controlled by this shared random mechanism in the same way as slot machines' wins. This Jackpot mechanism guarantees that the Jackpot can be won on any of our games and is not discriminating players who play on certain games only. It is also important to say, that we clearly state this in our FAQ, this information is not "hidden": http://www.slotland.com/faq.html#odds Nevertheless, we appreciate your comments and will consider adding this information to Full Instructions of our card games so that this information cannot be overlooked by potential players of these games. Sincerely, Robert Slotland Customer Service |

You'll only consider changing the false advertising of your video poker slot machines??? This information is not 'clearly stated' anywhere near the game, only if you chose to read through all of the FAQs will you find it and realize that this is a phony video poker machine.

I agree that Slotland might have shown an error in judgement regarding how they've presented their Jacks or Better game, but I would like to point out that I've seldom seen a more professional or more courteous customer service team.
Nice post, Robert--thanks for the input. |

I was looking for a thread I remember from a Slotland employee claiming that SpaceJack was fair (apart from the shared jackpot). I can't find it now though but I found a couple of other related threads. If you play SpaceJack without going for the jackpot, it obviously can't be randomly dealt because the payout would be over 100% for optimum play.

I just realised why people thought Space Jack was a decent game. They used to allow you to play just one hand at a time so it was just the same as blackjack with a the 3 to 1 BJ payout.
I am pretty sure someone from Slotland posted here that the game was fairly dealt if playing this way (you can only go for the jackpot by playing all three hands simultaneously). Players had bad results though and it seemed clear it was rigged. Slotland later changed the game so it wasn't possible to just play one of the hands (which would have theoretically given you an advantage if it was fair)and you now must bet on all three hands. |

You may have guessed it, but I was out all last week when this thread developed. I had thought it was clearly stated on the Slotland site that these games were slots, but I guess I was incorrect. Looks like this is something that can easlily be resolved though. Thanks Robert for the post.
