    Angry Bitichin' at Yachting Casino

I was playing at www.yachiting-casino.com just now and managed to play 971 hands of $5 blackjack following the basic strategy found at the wizardofodds.com.

I had deposited my $200 and recieved my $200 bonus after 971 hands i had crashed out at $2.50 and was unable to play any more.

I definatly would not reccomend playing at this casino or any other members of the b3w software group.

I found the following reoccuring factors:

    1) Chance of dealer getting a blackjack 2 times in a row is 60% or above
    2) Chance of dealer 'pushing' on a double is at least 50% or more
    3) Chance of drawing a ten value card on a 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 is around 60%
    4) Chance of dealer beating a 17, 18, 19 with an ace when the dealer has a 7, 8, or 9 turned over is at least 30%
    5) Chance of dealer drawing to 21 when you stand on a 19 or 20 is at least 30%

Note: i was not able to accurately record the amount of times that these events happened (as i was busy seething over the fact that i was calling what the dealer would draw.....if you feel like being a psycic play here!) But it is most definatly an understatement of the actaul percentages of those 971 hands i played.

I worked out the odds of losing $397.5 after playing 971 hands with a house edge of 0.4046% (formulated at wizard of odds http://wizardofodds.com/games/blackj...eedgecalc.html) and recieved the following answer in excel

    0.000000000000000000000000000000E+00

Note: the formula i used is found on the wizard of odds (http://wizardofodds.com/gambling/faq.html) at about halfway through.
    The forumla read: =NORMSDIST((-397.5+971*0.004046+0.5)/(971^0.5*1.16))

I really dont know where else to complain so that's why im writing on this forum, i'm sure this is not just a statistical anomoly and that the software is rigged. If anyone can help me, tell me who to talk to etc. i would really appreciate it.

You are meant to convert your loss into betting units. You calculated the probability of losing $397.5 in 971 hands flatbetting $1. You lost 79.5 units, so the correct formula is =NORMSDIST((-79.5+971*0.004046+0.5)/(971^0.5*1.16)), which gives a much more reasonable 1.8% or 1 in 55 chance.

    Re: incorrect formula

Thanks for the clarification of the formula,

but even with this more reasonable result i would not recommend playing at their casino

    Hi Arcz2000,

And welcome to the forum. I think you meant www.yachting-casino.com

This casino is powered by B3Wgroup software
    http://www.b3wgroup.com/

    Their clients:
    http://www.yachting-casino.com
    http://www.casino-broceliande.com/
    http://www.monte-casino.com/
    http://cercledejeux.com/
    http://www.aeroplayer.com/home.asp
    http://casinoatsea.net/
    http://www.betinparis.com/

Last fall I had spoken to the CEO of this group after I had published some screen shots from their video poker which had errors. He explained to me quite satisfactorily why these occurred, and I dropped the case. Perhaps he or one of his reps could give us some insight on this?

    hey casinomeister

Well it seems i got the initial numbers wrong, which Grandmaster nicely fixed for me, although im still convinced that their blackjack software is problematic,.........i cant help but draw this conclusion from the frequency of blackjacks (both for dealer and player) and the fact that they occured in most instances in groups of 2.

But i've emailed the casino to hear what they have to say......its no real big deal, only a couple of hundred.

I must say im a big fan of probability and would have accepted the loss had it not been for the aforementioned anomolies.

    Thumbs up Settlement

Hi guys, i just want you to know that I have settled my dispute with the aforementioned yachting-club casino. In many respects this is thanks to the intervention of Brian (casinomeister) - in bringing it to the attention of the manager of the Casino while on holiday. Thanks Brian.

Well im off to make some home brew

So... what happened. Is this sofware screwy or not? If some backdoor deal got this player a few extra bucks for losing, then that's cool... but it doesn't help us "babe in the woods" types that are thinking of depositing here.

Are their cashouts at least kosher. Thanks.

i thought im pushing this since im having problems launching the Video Poker Software .

The demo mode works , all slots and bj work to , but all VP wont load ( freezing when it says "initializing" ) .

As i said , the demo mode of all VP works ...

Could anyone that has an account there please quick check if VP for real money loads correctly , so that i know if its a problem from my side or from their side .
