Good work Cipher and the player for his/her tenacity in hanging in there for what was due. It must have been extraordinarily stressful and I'm glad to see the payment came through at the end.

Now I'm going to be looking at every new casino commercial with a more critical eye!!! And, yes - waiting on that press release, too....

The inability at this stage to name the casino raises a lot of red flags. I will give this thread one more week. If it still remains unnamed, I will consider the whole thing a hoax.

Yes they've been too long, and more importantly they've been too quiet but you must imagine that this probably had to reach the top to put the kind of funds together to meet the cash-in, ... while at the same time they're busting their hunches to make sure everything is jake (that the wins were totally honorable situations): because as nearly everyone here admits; it is a huge win of very unusual circumstances.

I would think it would involve contacting the creators of the software and all sorts of checkpoints that common sense would demand you go through... because this is not an ordinary big win. but rather 3 big wins at same casino inside a week... which makes things look extremely suspicious ...

so while this is all going on ... nobody takes the proper steps to insure the player they will get paid (basically staying in contact) and though I'm certainly no software expert I would bet there is a lot of stuff to check before the final okay is given to pay the player.

so a lot of time gets past.

I never said they deserved a ticker tape parade but come on... are you telling me then that you'd say you won't play at that casino if/after they've paid the player?

I would be thinking if they can weather this kind of hit and still be floating that they would be able to pay me anything I won.

heck its probably a casino I can't stand. But even if it is; I'll have to give them credit for coming thru in the end.

And to be more frank; the more of a "small-time" casino that it turns out to be; the more I'll be impressed WHEN they pay.
totally agree, any casino taking this kind of hit, would have dragged its feet till it knew everything was above board.

fact is, if this casino had no intention of ever paying they wouldn't have done no matter how much pressure.

we have seen way to many casinos happily give up its reputation in order to welch on winnings far smaller than this.

from my personal experience from when i worked i betting shops is that the largest biggest legitimate win i ever payed was for about £40k however the number of "winning" bets which had payouts in excess of this, which subsequently turned out to be fraudulent is so large that i have lost count.

a general rule thumb in the gaming industry is the larger the win, the more likely that something is not right.

i guess the only thing the casino didnt do right is keep the player adequatly informed.

for large wins i regularly had to keep players waiting from anything between a day and a week if they had a big win, i always explained why things had to be checked and always updated them on the status of their payment, i never had any complaints.

the longest wait was for the £40k win mentioned above, which the guy had won with a 10 p bet, after i paid him (which took a week), he more than happily tipped £500 despite the wait.

i think the casino should have phoned the guy and reassured him, that if his win was genuine then he would have no problems getting paid. in these situations the personal touch means a lot to a player.

I've been privy to the screenshots - it's no hoax.

Geeze, it's taking a while for this big announcement from the casino. What's the deal with that?

    Seconded.

At the end of the day, it was posting at Casinomeister that resolved this. The forum members have the right to know which casino they were discussing.

Well, the casino isn't listed here. And it probably never will be, at least not in the "Accredited Casinos" section
