    Update

It has not escaped my attention that MGS are slipping this fix into all casinos "on the quiet" rather than waiting for the December new games upgrade.
I have found that another problem has been fixed too, the casino no longer continually churns my hard drive for 10 mins or so each time I log in.
As well as 32Red, I have noted the fix has spread to All Slots, and part of the Casino Action group. It is simply a matter of logging on as normal and when the fix arrives you will get the "double launch" usual for a new games upgrade; after which you should let the casino download all it wants to. Next logon should be to a fixed casino. It should not be necessary to use the repair tool, but I am sure that some applications may be sufficiently damaged as to prevent the automatic fix from taking hold. The repair tool is a better option in this case than downloading again, especially on dial up! I will retain a copy, and the copy I posted earlier in this thread is available till Bryan removes it!

Hmm 32 Red still doesn't work for me, after trying the repair tool, which just sat there for 30 minutes and did nothing, and re-installing from the website, it still just hangs on the loading screen then dissappears after a minute. The only way around it for me now it to copy that older mupp.dll file and make it read only

    Fixed!

Well I've finalled fixed my problem of 32red instantly shutting down when I loaded it up. I tried all the things here - playing with DLLs, cleaning my machine, reinstalling, trying the repair tool, to no avail: turns out it was my virus checker.

I use NOD32, but it might effect other virus checkers too. By turning off IMON, the internet security monitor, the casino loads up fine now. I guess something in their new update raises red flags with my virus checker and blocks the internet traffic. Slots here I come!

    Repair tool

Could you let 32Red know as they think this issue is pretty much fixed now. MG have introduced a fix which is progressively being set in all MG casinos which should be automatically picked up(watch for the tell tale double launch of an upgrade).
When 32Red first announced the fix though, they screwed up and placed a faulty module on their website. This has now been corrected, and I have tested it again to verify. The fix was for the looping issue, fixing the other issues was a by product.
The repair tool MUST be run from the directory containing the casino program files, and NOT from the desktop as it will indeed then just sit there and do nothing.
Support will no doubt tell you to first try reinstalling from the website, but if using the old file has given you a working casino you could leave it at that. It will automatically change the Mupinfo file at the next update, which is when the robustness of the MG fix will get it's first big test!

I am so confident that MG have finally resolved this that I have retained a copy of the repair tool & posted one earlier on this thread as a ZIP file

    HI

I have never had any problem with any casino but I do not belong to 32Red so can't say what to do but Smokes if ya desperate I may be able to help.

I must explain i work in Techincal Support and do keep my machine cleaned as possible with things I know work.

As for adware, only things like AdAware do pick up Microgaming things but I have always deleted what it finds without any issue.

Tell me something, do any of you empty your temp folder in WinXP? if not do this for me Start>Run> type %temp% and see what is in there and if anything relates to Microgaming.

    I'll help where I can.

    Thanks

I have been having problems getting casinos to work when they release there new game packages.

Fix I have found in Win XP
first CTRL+ALT+DEL and goto the Processes tab

Look for Casino~1.exe (I think this is when you download the casino from the website not update) or Casino.exe or something similer but will start with casino and end with .exe (This is when you are getting the update with your old software)

There should also be a casino.new running which is what needs to load but the other program is stopping it.

So End Process on the casino.exe and the casino should finish loading up.

    Smile IMON works!!

    Hi Woodchip

Thank you so much for this tip with NOD32, all microgaming casinos now working with IMON turned off

However I really hope that microgaming will be fixing their software as I don't want to continue keeping the IMON off.
