This is a sign of how bad things are. As much of a dump as Sahara is it is sad to see it close. This will leave 3 of the 4 corners of Sahara/LV Blvd vacant.

As well this is one of the oldest hotels left in Vegas, for the price you pay, you get just enough. If you are going to Vegas to walk on the strip and go know all the other casino and hotels.Always sad to see one of the older places close.

I have some fond memories of this place mainly as the first time I hooked up with Spearmaster (Ted Loh) he was staying at Sahara after one of the gaming conferences. We had a few good nights ( and too many margarita's ) played mostly at NYNY and for Ted the airport! A week later on my way back to Oz we met up in Thailand and went on ted and colly's Cambodian adventure.
Sad to see it go it has a sentimental hook for me nowadays
