    Massachusetts Senate Considering Three-Casino Bill

    Massachusetts Senate Considering Three-Casino Bill

The Massachusetts Senate is scheduled to begin debating a bill today that would authorize three resort casinos in the state, one more than a bill passed in April by the House of Representatives.

The Senate expects to vote by the end of the week, according to Senate President Therese Murray's office. Senators have filed more than 160 proposed amendments.

The advent of casinos in Massachusetts would represent a major change in the marketplace for Connecticut's two casinos, Foxwoods Resort Casino and Mohegan Sun, which also face increasing competition in Rhode Island and New York.

They have been talking about this for years. If anyone is familiar with Massachusetts, there used to be an old amusement park called Mountain Park (I used to go, it was sooooo fun!!!) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountai..._Massachusetts)

They were thinking of building a casino there a few years back, but it got shot down for reasons I can't remember.

Just click "did you mean" the link is being weird.

Hi Just Play I hope Mass gets the casinos.
You know I have been running bus trips now to Foxwoods for 22 years and they treat us organizers like ^&*(( if you know what I mean.
Mohegan Sun on the other hand are pretty fair to us since they opened.
I think Foxwoods is paying someone off to stop it.
This will hurt both casinos here if it comes true if Mass gets them.
The busing from the Mass area is very high.
I heard some parts of Mass people are fighting just to get on the bus.
I wish I lived in Mass But I am looking for someone that would like a little hobby business.
Both Casinos here need the competition.
    ~T~

    We like our gambling

I believe we were number 1 in the highest amount of gamblers in the USA or money spent, (lottery only of course) I could be wrong and forgot how it was worded, but we LOVE to gamble.
