What would YOU do? -- Opinions wanted!

Sooo I'm heading to Turning Stone Casino this weekend and besides my free room I have a $50 free play. The original $50 will be deducted from the winnings if I am lucky enough to be able to cash out. I'm trying to decide ahead of time what to do with it, as I plan on playing that first when I get to the casino.

My initial impulse is to do larger bets (for me), like $1-2/spin on Stinkin' Rich (100 line slot), last time I played there I hit 350x my bet, so naturally I love the game. As far as bigger bets, I'm wondering if I should try Wolf Run (40 line slot) at $2 a pop, though my luck has been less than ideal.

On the lower variance front, I could try to play the balance up in smaller amounts.. Texas Tina has been fun, and I'm a fan of the Multi-way clown game (the name escapes me). Or I could stick it in Monopoly (crappy luck) or Jackpot Party (crappier luck) or even Lucky Seals (crappiest luck).

So if you were in my situation, mind you this is my first large free play ever, what would YOU do?

Casinokidd, go straight to the high limit area and find yourself a $5 Slot Machine, you will have at a minimum of 10 spins and if you do hit something it will most likely at least double your coupon and you never know but if your luck is running you may just win yourself a big ole Jackpot !! It's happened to me several times under that same scenario. Good luck to you while you're there...

Rob is spot on, free money you want to go the higher stakes mate, something between $3-$5 a spin, if you hit at least it should double the $50..
If not can it be used for say roulette or BJ, then go one hand of BJ or black and red on roulette, get up $50 and cash in.

Sounds kinda stupid but, "Pedal to the medal". Rob is def. right. Find a 3-5$ slotgrave and stay on it. You don`t have much to loose.
That would be my way. My girls way would be....playing on a machine at a 0.25cent/ spin. And nagging at me why she could not win the jackpot.

I do the high roll w/free money thing and it gives my hubby near heart failure. LOL

But I do NOT play the vid slots. I go to the boring and stodgy 2 coin 3 reelers like Double Diamonds or Double Star... something like that.

Hit $500 a couple of times that way. Strangely enough -- like playing online -- never seem able to do that on my own money, tho.

I would bet max bet on a penny wolf run.

When these machines hit they usually get on a roll. I think you can bet up to $3 to $5 on them (in Vegas anyway, dunno your casino) and if you get lucky they can pay off repeatedly and very nicely.

Most of the stacked symbol machines work that way, and more than once I have financed my trip on these.

I always use my comp money to play big on machines that I wouldn't normally play. So go big.

I have never had comp money that was essentially a 'sticky bonus'. Interesting.

Ive never had a sticky bonus either being comped 50 even 300 at rama.
One thing i look at is 50 will not last long at a land casino these days. I think i would hit 9 lines by 25 cent bets i have come out with some nice cashouts with these slots. One nite i sate there with 40 on my ticket place in machine pulled out 965. Dropped 20 in and pulled out another 785. Does take many spins before a feature hits but I find in the 5 10 20 dollar slots if you dont hit your play money is gone within minutes. Good luck keep us updated.

Seeing as how 1 cent and 5 cent machines are sucking down everyones money now, I wouldn't touch a $1 or above machines since they get little to no play anymore.. no coin in = no coin out.

Here's a little tip on Stinkin' Rich. If you play 75 lines at more coin per line as opposed to playing 100 lines at more coin per line you'll still qualify for all the bonus spins and be able to max out the bonus spins with the exception of 1 payline. As the bonus plays at 100 paylines and the number of coins you bet per line regardless of how many lines you played to initiate the bonus. Any lines above 75 are just repeats on the first 3 symbols so if you hit the 3 bonus symbols in the 35 free spin configuration you'll get 30.

This is a really ideal betting situation since the base game only contributes about 35 to 40% of the total return of the machine.

So say you were playing 75 lines at 2 or 3 coins per line and the bonus triggers you'll play the bonus at 100 lines @ 2 or 3 coins per line. As always it would be ideal to play 1 line at max coin and get the 3 free spin symbols on that line and hope for lots of retriggers.

Keep in mind this is a very volatile game, probably one of the most volatile games on the casino floor today and the bonus can still have a return of 0, I should know I've seen alot of them.

    Thanks for the great replies!!

From what you've all said, pedal to the metal is the way to go. I probably wont do $5/spin (I rarely go above $1 a spin) But $2-$3 at Wolf run or Stinkin Rich sounds like a plan.

And I do absolutely terrible at both, but love them just the same.. heh.

    More replies appreciated!!
