My view on Twin River Casino and racetrack in Lincoln, RI. Detailed

Alright, first off my review is not going to be a good view or bad view. I am going to tell you the pros and cons of this casino and racetrack.

Background Information: Twin River Casino is located on Twin river road in Lincoln Rhode Island. It is a Greyhound race track plus it has over 800 slot and poker machines. Due to Rhode Island law, poker and table games are not allowed unless they are virtual. Virtual Blackjack and Virtual Roulette are the only virtual games beside slots and video poker that are allowed. There are a variety of restaurants including the Lighthouse Bar, Dunkin Donuts and a pizza place. There are two casinos in Rhode Island. The other casino is in Newport RI. It is called Newport Grand Slots. For more information about Twin River , please go to http://www.twinriver.com/. To check out Newport Grand Slots online, please go to http://www.newportgrand.com/

    Pros: Friendly staff
    free Valet Parking
    smoking and non smoking areas
    fair priced restaurants

Cons : Soft Drinks and alcohol are not free
food is not very high quality[pizza for example is really greasy]
Rewards club [does not have good benefits]
No hotels near by[ all hotels the casino promotes are 15
    minutes away in Downtown Providence.
No place to stay on site

Overall, twin River is good if you like small places and your under 21. But if your 21 or older, and want a better time, you are better off at Mohegan Sun or Foxwoods in Connecticut.

Please comment on your experiences at Twin River by posting a reply. If you have any questions, comments, please feel free to reply.

Been to Twin Rivers a few times. They have way more than 800 machines...more like 4000. Recently there has been a controversial study showing that the payout is only 72%. The track/casino and state claim it is 92%. State gets 60% of the profits. RI is a very mobbed up/corrupt state...I don't doubt players are getting screwed.

We were just there twice in the past week . We have a pretty good time .
They did have the buffet before all the cutbacks which was pretty good .
We win and we lose when we go there but we do have a good time and don't spend much

I've been a few times to Twin River and I know there is way over 800 which is why I put, over 800 machines. I just wanted to point out. I hope there is no hard feelings for correcting you. Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. Happy new year to all.

I won a few times also. The first two times I went there I won $400 one time and $300 another time I went there. The last time I went which is two weeks ago, I lost all my money in a couple of hours time. Thanks for the reply.

I've been there a few times. I guess they're open till 3am weekdays and 24 on Friday and Saturday now. They used to close a 1am.

I have good luck on the 2 cents slots.
