The other place Ive won 3 times at with slots is the ugly Excalibur hotel and casino LOL. Yes, its dim and not so pretty but their slots are looser than a vegas hooker!

NYNY is a cool place but Ive never won there, ut a gr8 place to walk around
A must is the Venetian (as far as beautiful hotels)
If you get a chance, cab it to the Old strip, If your alone and dont like confrontation, either go in the daytime or stay on the strip at night . If you want some of the seediness, lol, go at night and wander off the strip , but just a little bit. If you love seafood, the Rio is a must. If you put all the tables together in a row, the buffet is about 1/4 mile long!
The Bellagio has one of the fanciest and most delicious buffets, they have lollipop lamb chops and lobster tail on it. Its worth the money.

I did the helicopter ride at night but I was disappointed. Not in the experience but how many ppl they cram in the helicopter. If you want a unch of coupons i think "lasvegas.com has a bunch of stuff on there
Thanks Babs for all the great info! It's been 9 years since I have been to Vegas... and longer ago when I played poker at the Flamingo. I remember sitting beside the Dealer who was giving me some hints in exchange for the occasional hand on my leg! (It was a moral dilemma... some help for copping a feel!... The "feel" was harmless enough! I too prefer the smaller rooms. I have made notes from all your great suggestions and thanks again!

Thanks Rhyzz. I have made notes accordingly! I have 4th row centre booked for "O" (the first 3 rows are "wet seats"... so I am pumped about that!
I don't know how I will find time for my convention!

Thanks again everyone for some really great suggestions!

Man! Can't believe I missed this thread

Most of the bases have been covered here by everyone. If you're a Beatles fan, you have to check out "Love". I haven't seen it, but plan to on my next visit. I've seen the Blue Man show a number of times - totally excellent. "Le Reve" at the Wynn is pretty awesome as well.

Just walking around up and down the strip is entertaining enough. If you have a chance, rent a car and head out into the desert. The desert mountains that surround Las Vegas are stunning.

And if you have time, Green Valley Ranch is a pleasant place to visit. A lot of locals go there.

Hi Simmo. Thanks for the link. I did look for "Spin Poker" but did not find it. I did however play it by another name (forget what it was called... too many cocktails!) I blew a good hand by not understanding you had to hold it (faulting on line auto hold habit) but it was good enough nonetheless...
On my last night I finally found "Reel or no Reel" and I agree, fun game. Hard to find! I blew most of my wad on Let it Ride. They have an extra bonus bet that I had not seen before and thought it was a sucker bet... until I got a straight flush in my hand and because I did not bet the 10 bucks on it, I didn't capture the $400 that would have gone with it. Many of the regular players play that bonus bet which is a 3 card bet for your cards dealt. But, essentially it doubles your bet so your bankroll can go twice as fast if you don't hit. I tried Texax hold 'em $1/$2 no limit and got ca ca for cards. Fun trip though... money slipped through my fingers.. glad I did some shopping and found some bargains at Ross. Love that store! Thanks again everyone for the tips!

Thanks Bryan. I stayed at the Mirage where LOVE was playing and when I walked by, I thought that would be a great show because of the music. I hope to go back and plan on seeing both LOVE and Mystere- Others have told me that Mystere is even better than "O". I loved "O" and was so glad to have the 4th row centre seats. It was worth every penny. I had originally booked side section seats a month ago when we had confirmed the conference we were going to, but I am on the Cirque email list and anyone planning on going to Vegas should do the same as there are discounted tickets through that. (Not for "O" though). When I received a subscription email from them about 10 days before I was taking the trip, I went back to the website and found they had the 3rd or 4th row centre seats available, so I changed my tickets and so glad I did! "O" is a must see in Vegas because, the elaborate staging (and it was pretty darn elaborate!) makes it unfeasable to travel.
I want to go back to Vegas and book a show per night... there are sooo many! I had wanted to see "Spam a Lot" as well as it has great reviews and is only on until July, but it is coming to Toronto so will see it here.
I will add, if in Vegas, go to the Forum Shoppes (Caesar's Palace) and look for the fountains with talking statues. http://cityguide.aol.com/lasvegas/en...083205?&page=2 Intermittent shows happening and very very cool!
Not enough time on this trip to see as much as I would have liked... and if I had stayed out of the casinos at night... woulda coulda shoulda... next trip will be better planned! The Mirage is undergoing upgrades/ reno's so the volcanoe wasn't working. Paid the $15 to see the Seigfield Roy tigers and dolphins living out their misery in captivity... poor things looked like they (the tigers) had arthritis from lack of space to run... nice jail, just not big enough!

Hi, mgmgrand1. Welcome to the forum. Any freebies for casinomeister members. Some of us could do with these given the beatings that many of us have taken lately.
