Maybe but really just a matter of incorrect perception and not reality as here is an excerpt from the January 2008 issue of Forbes Magazine which lists my home county (your neighboring county) as the 2nd Richest County in the South (Forsythe County near Atlanta was 1st) and 16th Richest County in the US, imagine where Williamson County would rank if it was not such a large county and just consisted of Brentwood and Franklin as there are lower income areas in this large county!! Complete List: America's Richest Counties
16. Williamson County, Tenn.
Median income: $81,449

The Nashville metro's two largest counties are Williamson and Davidson, which have very different demographics. Davidson is more densely populated, and thus its median income is lower than that of Williamson, which is home to more affluent suburbs.
