Tunica, here I come! (I hope)

Everyone cross your fingers for me that nothing blows up around here and we get to take our Xmas Tunica trip. Reservations made for next week. 3 nights comped.

Haven't been able to do our usual trips every 3 or 4 months this year. We haven't been since June. Harrah's has 'kindly' confiscated our $100+ worth of comps because we haven't used our cards in 6 months.
Alice: But I don't want to go among mad people.
The Cat: Oh, you can't help that. We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.

I will be there sometime next week at the Shoe in my normal room which I think Laurie posted a couple pics of a few weeks ago, not sure when I will leave NV but if you wish to, PM me and I promise the Shoe at least will make that $100+ comp good to you.

What a sweet guy! I don't know if I'll bother you with the Harrah's comps, Nash. We don't stay at their properties anymore and only blow a few bucks on Sheraton VP each trip. Sam's gives us food and shelter each trip.

Thanks, Laurie! Hubby and I usually skip presents and take a Tunica trip for special occasions. I love Xmas in Tunica... the casinos are quiet, all the hotel lobbies and casino entrances are all decorated -- and I don't have to cook! We didn't get to go for my b'day in Oct. so we're 'behind' in Tunica trips. Hope all works out and you get a trip for your b'day next month.

I love going to Tunica and wish I was going at Xmas also. I stay at the Grand compliments of Harrah's. Can't seem to ever get rooms at Horseshoe even though I get comped room there too. Am thinking about a trip to New Orleans though. Got rooms at Harrah's there too.

Have a get trip, mousey, and hope you win the big one.

Thanks annie! Hope you're able to get a trip in soon.

Harrah's is kind of 'funny' about their room comps in Tunica when it comes to 'ordinary' players. We used to get coupons for free rooms at the Sheraton, but they were never available (unless we wanted to pay $100+ per night ). Before the Horseshoe was Harrah-ized, we always got offers for 2 free nights in their minisuites. Then Harrah's Total Rewards come on board and poof! we fell of their radar. LOL Subsequently, we stopped playing there entirely. *Plus, the Hoseshoe has th worst VP paytables in Tunica.* Nice move, Harrah's! LOL

Anyone remember any new slots I should look for next week? We haven't been since June, so there should be some new ones to eat my money. I think Sam's Town has a couple of new VP machines upstairs. Someone told me they have a couple of spin poker and Times Pay VP now. I'll have to check Marsha's TunicaVP and see what's new.

And I've rambled on and on...

Isn't that funny about Harrah's and Total Rewards! I am about 60 miles from Shreveport, LA (Texas) and Harrah's has the racetrack/slots (Louisiana Downs) and the Horseshoe Casino. For 3 years I was a Diamond Card player and then got tired of pouring sand down a rathole and quit playing at these almost totally. Now can't get a room there on a bet. However Boomtown and Diamond Jacks are proud to give me rooms. My significant other got free rooms on a weekend at L'Auberge in Lake Charles, LA and he doesn't even play slots. That said, I have never had an trouble getting a room at the Grand in Tunica but not at the others, Horseshoe or Sheraton. And I don't even try for a weekend. Guess I'm not high enough on the pole any more.
