This is where we will post pics of the machines where Laurie is playing for us. I believe she is going to start on Saturday around 2pm. I will stand by with PC and cell phone in hand (thank god for free weekends)

Feel Free to come by after 2pm or so Tomorrow and if the winners still have questions.....ask them here, ok? GOOD LUCK ALL

I will make sure I get you a pic of Laurie (but do not tell her) and tomorrow night I think Laurie and hubby Jim are going to meet up with myself and a Shoe cocktail waitress (she's tough) along with the 2 female Nashville Harrah's reps (who are coming only for moral support,lol) for drinks. I will be sure Laurie gets you some nice viewing material..........BTW,1819 ,I have not forgot about PMing you b4 you head to Chicago for the Giants game.....Missing my first Titans home game ever this w-e,Garry!

A tragedy just happened in Laurie's family. I will give you some details and keep you up to date.

Laurie has an Aunt and Uncle that live in Franklin TN, Their house burnt down this morning and her aunt was taken to Vanderbilt University Hospital this morning and she is on her way to the hospital with her mom. Her aunt is in ICU

NOW: Laurie is determined to still go even if it means getting there late at night. She did not ask me to write this, I am writing this on my own because I think she feels if she doesnt go, it will look like a nitro unkept promise


Laurie: From the bottom of MY heart, if this is too much, I personally can wait until another time. Just know if you dont make it you have my support and im sure others do to. If you go, you go, if you cant , you cant

I will let her write anything after this because I am running late for a ride to the store and I just spent a good bit of time on the phone re: this situation plus on the phone with CW.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt and Uncle. I hope they are okay and my prayers are with them.
You do what you need to do where family is involved because I know we would all understand if you didn't go. There is always another time to do this contest. Hugs going out to you and you take care.

nash probably not headin to chicago. i spent some time with my boys during their bye week. i think i'm just gonna go see my browns instead. they play the 9th in nj against the jets. i'll bring my pop as he is also a diehard cleveland fan. have fun in the delta.

Hi all,
Laurie just called and wanted me to express her thanks for all's concern. She is still at Vanderbilt ICU but said her aunt is going to be fine and Laurie and Jim will leave Nashvegas early evening for Tunica. Thus, she wanted all to know that all systems are go for a weekend in Tunica playing slots and trying to keep me out of trouble....She also mentioned and I thought I would just state that her aunt and uncle's home was not damaged as bad as originally thought. I think she has peace of mind in her decision. Once again,thanks for all's concern....Next stop,Tunica....Garry!:)
 
She just called me too and left a message, she is going tonight and all is on

Laurie... so sorry about your aunt and uncle and the house fire. I do hope she recovers soon. I was relieved to read that the house is not as bad as first thought and glad your aunt will be ok. :thumbsup:

Congratulations to Garry! He won so much money last night (Laurie witnessed them hauling it into the safe) that he's not gonna do the tourny, infact he won more than the winnings from the tourny and didnt go to sleep until 7am.
Everyone there knew him and treated him very well. He is not a joke! Laurie watched him make $2500 bets last night (and almost fainted btw)

Garry is now going to focus on winning money for the winners plus mousy and I with Laurie later on around 5pm after he gets some sleep. He is determined to make Jetset, ChuChu, Mousy and I win!!! Good for you Garry and thanks again for your kindness. He did NOT want me to focus on him, but tough crap, he deserves this acknowledgment because he didnt have to do this.

NOW.......ARE YOU READY FOR A SLEEPY PIC OF LAURIE?????

If you talk to laurie, tell her Rich thought I was doing this at 2pm and was planning on taking me to dinner, so if things change, let her know that If i dont answer the phone, Im in the restaurant and Ill call back. Just tell her to send the pics (u kind of have to sit down and do it discretely so you dont get yelled out) Thats why my pics looked a little crooked lol. Ill post them as soon as I get home. Who knows...she may catch me b4 I go out. Ill be here a couple more hours at least

talking to laurie now......garry still sleeping lol....starting later, around 5-6pm,
ill post when i get home from dinner. Im leaving around 4pm or so. They just left Hollywood and they are on their way back to the horseshoe to try to wake him up.

When garry won all that money, Laurie said he won $19K in like 15 minutes. She went to the $20 tables , got to $60, got cocky and lost LOL.....that would be me too

I cannot express enough the upset in Laurie's voice that I felt as we were on the machines. I stayed on the phone the whole time for all four of us. Those machines were drained!! She wanted to do wheel of fortune because the JP is up to 11 million dollars

I even feel bad about writing this. Laurie was hoping for atleast $300 a piece. She isnt doing well herself, her and Jim are down as well. I guess BJ is the game because Garry is well over $140K range and took the money and ran LOL...he's smart by staying in his room and bringing it home. He is going to meet up with them later on tonight.

Lets hope atleast Laurie hits something for all the time she took for us!!!

Just like the last few times I went to T-town and played. :D Don't be sad. Been there, done that myself. Casinos couldn't afford to keep the lights on if we didn't lose every now and again. :p I appreciate Nash staking us. Hope things pick up for Laurie and Rich. :thumbsup:

Everybody gave it their best shot, it's all good. I'm just sorry Nash didn't take down the house!!! But 143k is an acceptable performance... I freaking kid you Nash. HOOOwah!!! My hat is off to everybody who participated, and every one who watched from far or near.

And anybody who has a jealous bone in their body can piss at the stars:D
 
Just a quick post....Thanks to Laurie and Babs et al for all.........As Babs stated Laurie put alot of time into play and wrongfully feels bad about the slot results...It was great meeting Laurie and her very nice husband,Jim.......wish I could have been more sociable....Last tidbit, not sure exactly what the total number of participants were for the unique BJ tourney but assuming there were back-ups for those like myself who withdrew (I just felt I did not need the temptation of having to be in the casino most of the day plus I was exhausted) a hour before the start,at most there were 21 players. There was only one female participant in the tourney and she won it. I think that is great.
 
Just imagine if that $11 mill WoF had come in, though LOL!!

Great effort, Babs and Laurie and thanks for all your work in keeping the pot here bubbling.

Congratulations on your big take-home, and thanks for the stake, Nash.
 
hey all, im back , drove most of the way back home myself as some one was taking a nap ,left memphis at 3:30pm got in around 8:00pm. im sorry i didnt win big, i sure did give it my best shot. that was so much fun talking play by play action with babs. thank you babs for all your help and also to everyone for the concern over my aunts health, she is now in her own room at vanderbilt and is doing very well. well im tired and i need to get ready for the dreaded monday .......note to babs.... that pic makes me look like the walking dead, cant you make it dis-appear lol......later ya"ll, laurie:)
