Hi all,
Not meant to offend anyone, but is there a list available of casinos in North America that forbid smoking vs. those that don't?
I wouldn't mind researching this if it's available.

Welcome.
HERE ya goI don't know how accurate it is, as I've smoked in the Golden Nugget.. but it might give you a jumping off point.
google non smoking casinos
All casinos in Colorado will go non smoking on January 1, 2008.
New Jersey :banned smoking but allow certain places for smoking, for instance, at the Trop, you can only smoke downstairs and at certain table games. You cant smoke in any restaurants or on the main slot floor
PA: You can smoke at Harrahs in Chester PA, never been to Phila Park so dont know on that one
DE: No smoking, they have outside shelters with ashtrays
interesting thread!
is there an update on the Vegas stance?
Last summer smoking was still rampant.

as it should be. i am a non smoker except for the occasional cigar but i still believe smoking should be banned only where people eat. yes there should be smoke free areas for people with poor health or who just dont like it but to ban it completely is going too far. if asked politely i will always put out my cigar. not a big deal. i will not however cater to someone who tells me how bad it is for them to be breathing my smoke as they sit there on a 36 hour, no sleep bender, drinking themselves to death.![]()

yes i think there should be separated areas. the smoking area should be enclosed to some degree to allow for extra ventilation. businesses like casinos can lose a lot of play by forcing smokers outside, and if competitors offer more comfortable provisions for smokers, then all the smokers migrate to the "friendlier" places.
and the government, who simultaneously bags a fortune in tax off tobacco, yet tries to mandate and regulate how and where we ingest the poison. where does it stop? i've heard things like you can't smoke in your own car, you can't smoke in your own home for the sake of potential future guests. wtf?

.people are aggravated at the Trop, I myself, smoke, I know, I gotta enough health issues anyway.....I cant stand being downstairs because EVERYONE smokes because thats the only place and my eyes get horrible and I cant breath. Its like smoking a pack at one time
Atleast when it was everywhere, some smoked, some didnt, there wasnt a huge smoke cloud. So....if im upstairs where I like to be and find a good machine, I want a cigarette. If I wanna smoke, I gotta be around a million people smoking. lose lose for me
HGB....I agree, they are losing alot. Atlantic City is suffering right now and that is why I can go whenever I want for free rooms. It was empty when I went last time. People are giving up AC in PA and going to the slot casinos because you can smoke wherever you want. They are taking a huge hit. And on top of it, with gas prices rising, it's cheaper just to go to Harrahs.
