Wave Of Casino Robberies Continues

A weekend casino robbery brings the count on Cliff Avenue to four since August 10. Police are still looking for suspects in each case.
Sioux Falls police spent August busy chasing after casino robbers and the first day of September brought yet another one to Cliff Avenue.
Jackson's II was the first of the four robberies this month on August 10, setting in motion the startling trend.
Two men with handguns, wearing bandanas over their faces held up the casino on North Cliff around 10:30 that night, and took off with cash.
The business barely had time to recover before it was hit again in the early morning hours of August 21. The two men forced a female customer to lie down on the floor as they demanded an employee give them money. They then ran away out the back door.
Four days later, two black men held up the Cliffside Casino at 16th and Cliff around 1:30 a.m. Police say both men had their faces covered and were armed with handguns.
And late Saturday night, the Royal Flush on Cliff was robbed just a block away from Cliffside, by again, two men with handguns.
Police have yet to determine whether the crimes are connected. But they all happened on Cliff Avenue, in the late night or early morning hours and all four involved guns and two suspects.
Sioux Falls Police have yet to make any arrests in the cases, they have however stepped up patrols in the area.
