A husband decided he would teach his wife to hunt in an effort to spend more time together. The first day, while perched on the deer stand, he explained some of the ground rules.
"You see that fence over there?" His wife nodded her head yes. "You can't shoot a deer on that side because it's the property of the state and No Hunting signs are posted everywhere." Again, his wife nodded.
Shortly thereafter the husband noticed they had left a thermos of coffee in the truck. He went to retrieve it, leaving his wife up in the deer stand.
On the way back from the truck, he heard a single shot. When he reached the bottom of the deer stand, he noticed a man standing on the No Hunting side of the fence with his hands up.
"Okay, lady, it's your deer," he said evenly. "Just let me get my saddle off of him."
