    An aspiring roulette player...

Hello everyone. After a recent trip to Vegas, I've developed quite the interest in Roulette. I am interested in playing online, but as a US citizen, there's a lot of road blocks as you well know. I was directed to these forums because there's supposedly a lot of info on casinos and payment options for US citizens. I'm gonna start searching, but any direction would be appreciated. Thanks!

    as a US citizen...
...it is illegal for you to transfer gambling money to or from an online casino.

Asking how to get around the US law is asking others to break the US law by helping you out, which is also illegal (a Felony) in the USA.

If you live in the USA and want to gamble online or play Roulette for money online, educate yourself about the politics of the issue and then Vote in your elections to get rid of the current fascist government and Un-American restrictions on our freedoms.

Here is a online Roulette game that is free and plays just like the real thing, just no money changes hands and it is set up as an American Roulette Wheel (American Roulette adds the "00" to the Wheel)

I've been reading articles on many gambling sites that say otherwise. Here's a quote from Online Gambling Insider about the UIGEA:

"The important thing to understand about this new legislations is that it does not make online gambling in the USA illegal. The act is aimed at blocking financial transactions related to gambling." http://www.online-gambling-insider.c...e-gambling.asp

There are many online casinos that still accept US accounts, but the problem has been finding a dependable way to make the transactions. I've read several posts on this very forum that indicate people have found the means to do this. I'm not trying to do anything illegal...I'm just under the impression that online gambling is not illegal for the player. Thoughts?

Here is the pertaining text of the law (UIGEA)

"`Sec. 1084. Use of a communication facility to transmit bets or wagers; criminal penalties

`(a) Except as otherwise provided in this section, whoever, being engaged in a gambling business, knowingly--

`(1) uses a communication facility for the transmission in interstate or foreign commerce, within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States, or to or from any place outside the jurisdiction of any nation with respect to any transmission to or from the United States, of--

    `(A) bets or wagers;

`(B) information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers; or

`(C) a communication, which entitles the recipient to receive money or credit as a result of bets or wagers, or for information assisting in the placing of bets or wagers; or...

...shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both."

Please take note of the bolded sections. I think it is perdy clear cut, if you help some one place a wager you have committed a felony according to the US UIGEA.

I think it is pretty clear that players and financial providers are not "engaged in a gambling business", and aiding and abetting is harder to do than telling a story.

    McDiesel, Welcome!

    Good luck

    Welcome!

We can make transactions for buying bullets, that kill people, we can make transactions for helping people. But it is illegal to make a transaction to gamble. I really dont know how they tought about the whole deal.

It's like well you gan go into the candy store, and buy all that you want, but we wont take any of your money.
I can agree that we need regulations on this market. But to make to transactions illegal.

So far as a solution all i can do, is to provide links to free roulette games.
    Roulette French And Euro

So Vote and call, and do it all so you can continue to make transactions, for the things you need.
Maybe we should make a website to stopp all the transactions for all the things. Let's say if i order a table top game about a race track (dunno if something like that exist)from a online toy shop in the US, can i make a transaction for it? I means im going to gamble rigt?

Or If i put an order at Msn game store For a game that you can wager in, is that illegal?

Making a transaction for wagering is illegal.
Making a transaction for buying a product you can wager with is legal?

I really hope someone test this out and it is reported to the FBI :-)
Should bring some light to the issue.

    Well sorry for my toughts.
My brains is somewhat mushed at the moment, since a typed a document of 130 pages, so far and still going strong.
