I've read of that problem before but no solutions were offered. I see now that one poster came up with publicizing the matter as a possibility to get Google to move on it. It sure is worrying.

It is definitely worrying - there are some casino affiliate programs who support an affiliate who uses this method, and some of us have already lost ranking and some have been banned for duplicate content.

Particularly one program is doing this - just check google results on some of the more popular terms and you will find them there.
