Casinomeister Forum Rules

At Casinomeister, freedom of expression is encouraged - we should be able to express our thoughts and experiences freely, period. But in doing so, we need to maintain civility and consideration toward others. Yeah sure, sometimes we get emotional about things, but we cannot let our emotions get the best of us.

Casinomeister's forum has some of the most prolific and wise online gamblers in cyberspace. And this forum is truly a home away from home. Why? Because most members abide by the rules and respect one another. Be cool.

1. General Posting Rules:

1.1 - No "Flaming": Please do not post any messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another member or guest. Abusive behavior will not be tolerated and your account may be suspended. Please refrain from potty mouth language.

1.2 - No "cross posting". In other words, do not post the same message to more than one thread or topic section. Cross postings will be deleted and posting privileges may be suspended for doing so.

1.3 - No "Spamming". Casino ads are no longer permitted anywhere in our forum - sorry. You may post "want ads" or sell your domains or websites in the "Strictly Commercial" section, but promos and spam (or cloaked ads) will be removed. Also, please do not mass-PM or mass-email multiple members of this site the same message. When in doubt, ask! ATTN: Spammers will be dragged out into the street and shot. Shills be warned. Spammers and shills who violate this rule will have their email addresses and IPs posted in public view. You've been warned.

1.4 - No posting of privileged information. Please remember to respect other's privacy. In the public forum, do not post real names, email addresses, or other personal identifiers that may be considered privileged information. If these items are already publicly available, this shouldn't be a problem. But if these are from private correspondence, or from some user database, discretion is advised.

1.5 - No "Offensive" Posts, Links or Images: Please do not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory, or otherwise violative of any local or international laws. This includes links in your signature, profile, bookmarks as well as posted images, photos and avatars. The moderators will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not.

1.6 - No "Libelous" Posts. Do not make posts that could be considered libelous, defamatory, or posting merely to cause harm to another's business. Opinions are expected, but do not attack others with accusations of criminal activity unless this has been proven in a court of law.

1.7 - No posting of copyrighted material. Do not post entire articles of copyrighted material. Please provide an excerpt, synopsis, and/or a link. Postings become the property of Casinomeister.com when posted. Any copying and pasting of posts from this forum to others should be done with explicit permission or with discretion, (i.e. press releases, jokes, other information that is in the public domain are to be used freely). Also, do not post copies of postings/threads from other forums unless you have explicit permission to do so. When in doubt, ask.

1.8 - No portal wars. Do not start a bitch session between one portal and another. Portal wars will not be tolerated.

1.9 - Do not register an account fraudulently. Fraudulent accounts are defined as accounts created specifically to flame others (hiding behind a mask of anonymity), or accounts opened primarily to spam the board or to act as shills. Do not register more than one account in the forum. Additional accounts will be deemed as bogus, and you may find yourself out on the sidewalk lying on your back staring at the stars.

1.10 - Members who commit player fraud (chargebacks, fake accounts, etc.) will be banned from the forum.

1.11 - Please do not exploit this board to promote your own personal agenda. If the moderators (and members) feel that you are spamming the board with links to your website, harassing members with agenda laden posts, or consistently ragging on a casino that did you wrong, etc., your account may be suspended.

1.12 - Postings that incite fraudulent player activity are not welcome and will probably be deleted. Members who encourage fraud will probably be kicked to the curb.

1.13 - PMs are Private Messages - they are personal and are meant to be this way. They are not there to flaunt or to abuse one another. If you share these messages, please either request permission to do so or use discretion. Personal matters should be kept personal. Abuse this function and you will find it disabled.

1.14 - No Trolls. From Wikipedia: "A Troll is someone who posts controversial and usually irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, with the intention of baiting other users into an emotional response[1] or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion." Trolls will not be tolerated and their accounts will be permanently disabled.

2. Posting Complaints

2.1 - Complaints against casinos or pokerrooms will only be posted in the "Online Casino and Poker Complaints" forum.

2.2 - Do not post a complaint without notifying the appropriate casino representative by either PM or email. The casino representatives are listed here.

2.3 - Ensure your complaint is free from offensive or abusive language, and that the complaint is tactful and truthful. Making false claims are grounds for banishment or drawn and quartering.

2.4 - Please refer to the MUST READ section before posting your complaint here

2.5 - Casinomeister does not condone player fraud in any shape or form. If you knowingly commit fraud (creating bogus casino accounts, using fake IDs, committing Credit Card fraud, chargebacks, etc.) you will be permanently banned from the forum.

3. Posting Promotional Material

3.1 - Want ads and items for sale are welcome in our "Strictly Commercial" forum.

3.2 - Please do not post casino promotions or bonuses here. These type of ads are no longer permitted. Sorry.

3.4 - Press releases are welcome in the Casino Industry section.

4. Signature Rules

4.1 - Size Limits: All signatures should not exceed the following size limits:
Registered Members:
Maximum lines - 1
Images - no
URLs - no

Fully Registered Members:
Maximum lines - 2
Images - 1
URLs - yes

Senior Members:
Maximum lines - 2
Images - 2
URLs - yes

Meister Members:
Maximum lines - 3
Images - 3
URLs - yes

4.2 - Content Restrictions You may have a link to your own website or services, but there must be no promotional language like "Best Casino" or "Fastest Payouts". Affiliate links are NOT permitted.

5. Forum Membership

Membership is based on length of being a member of this forum and participation. The membership is organized as such:

Registered User: This is the basic user account. Users can post, view and upload images and have full access to the public areas EXCEPT they cannot post in the Online Casino and Poker Complaints section. If you have a complaint, become a Fully Registered member or feel free to PAB

Also, members of this group cannot add URLs to their signature. Pseudo signatures (signatures written at the end of posts) are not allowed and will be removed.

Fully Registered: Once a member has either 50 reputation points or 100 posts and has been registered for at least 30 days, the membership becomes "Fully Registered". These members have full usage of the public areas and can include URLs in their signature.

Senior Member: Once a member has 150 reputation points they become a "senior member".

Meister Member: Once a member has 500 reputation points they become a "Meister Member".

Less than Zero: These are members who have been given enough "negative" reputation points that they become "Less than Zero". These members cannot use the search function of the forum, and they cannot use the PM or email functions as well. They are also ridiculed by their fellow forum members. Don't become "less than zero".
