New Posts (Unread) Not loading!

I have been gone for 4 days and the first thing I did was log into the forum and it seems I have a glitch somewhere for this has been happening a lot the last few weeks. It shows no new posts/threads unread.

I do a manual search for new stuff of the day and find lots of stuff I haven't seen/read.. Any one else having this problem? Help! I need my fix !

Ugh! I hate it when that happens.

Check to see if you are logged into the CM site. If your tracking cookie (for CM) is gone you won't get the latest stuff.

I think I got it. The older version of the software (vB 3.5) was cookie based - but once you've logged in - then either your session is timed out or you log out, everything is considered read.

Inactivity/Cookie Based - once a user has been inactive for a certain amount of time (the value of the session timeout option) all threads and forums are considered read. Individual threads are marked as read within a session via cookies.

Now I've switched it to a database option. It should work now.

I don't know what you did, but I just did "new posts" and got 163 results, dating back to Aug 19th.....

That's going back to when I upgraded

Sorry. Just click mark all threads read at the bottom of the main page and you can start afresh

Oops, I'm blind...this is a "feature"...

The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts.
