    Exclamation Squabbling in the Forum

Editor's Note: these are posts moved to their own thread. They originated from a four year old thread here. No need to necro old threads - just start a new one.

As someone new to the forum...

Although I've been reading CM for a while now, I've never really been a part of the communication process.

It tends to change how you feel about what's going on in the forum- and I have noticed certain personalities emerging in threads that I read.

I actually support this kind of thing, I mean- CM is an open Forum, as I understand it. In the sense that anyone is welcome who has not previously proved themselves to be a dweeb.

But, when you see that on the forum, it can intimidate newer members into thinking that their ideas will be derided when they may be just as, or more valid than anyone else's.

I guess, its just one of those things you notice when people speak with authority and have been members of a forum for so long. Just remember why we are all here, 'Personalities'. I've got a lot I want to learn from you guys, yet!

Edit: And its just as true today as it was in 2008! Clearly I traveled through time to do this. <_< >_> Oh.. Coffee. I need your early morning help through this silliness.

Ideas are always welcomed, it`s the fact-less based assumptions/opinions/views that mainly draw ridicule, what we have here is a gambling based environment, as we all know there are going to be a lot of sequential losses, and so, so, so many will come here screaming rigged/scam/fraud etc, etc, when these losses occur, with absolutely no proof of these scenarios whatsoever.

I for one have had my head chewed off by Nifty a few times and been worded to death by VWM also lol.

Imho it would pay for newbies to have a damn good forum search before making their post, especially if it is related to what they assess to be some form of rigged software etc, if it is indeed a case of wtf?, they are onto something here, then their 1st post would elevate them to legendary status here .

    P.S.
I`ve seen seasoned posters here face exactly the same music also .

When I read this thread just now, I was wondering what was going on because I never see anyone being mean.

Then I read the post about it being from 2008. No wonder!

There has been a rash of squabbling from certain members of the forum. Threads are being derailed and members are getting way out of line with stupid childish comments..

From this point on, think before you post. I will begin to suspend accounts of members who habitually derail or make jabs at other members. This includes "thanking" members who make these jabs.

These juvenile antics will not be tolerated. Thank you for your obedience.
I'm fairly new to this forum but have noticed so much off-topic debate. When you say "Threads are being derailed . . ." you really nutshelled it. Everyone is entitled to express their own opinion based upon their personal experience or insight that is relevant to the topic (OP?) in the thread.

People will have different opinions of course and it is perfectly acceptable to disagree with someone in a respectful way. To see a variety of viewpoints is what makes a thread enlightening. When things turn into an utterly pointless debate over trivial--and usually pointless crap no one benefits and the meat of the topic gets lost in the BS. Hence (I hate that word because it reminds me of math textbooks) the THREAD IS DERAILED.
