Forum bogging for anyone else?

The past few days I've had trouble with the forum, especially when clicking a link to go to a new post or new thread. The grey background loads but nothing else, then I try again and it comes up, but slowly.

I'm currently using IE7 so tried Chrome and it's better, but I'm so used to using IE I keep forgetting. I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same or if it's just me?

Well, I don't bog... but I do 'hitch' . LOL The only way I can think of at the moment to describe it.

It's in the main Forum page, navigating between areas/rooms, say clicking on Online Casinos, that it will kind of hang, sitting there just long enough that I think I need to click again, or elsewhere, then poof I'm in. I click on posts once inside a section, and everything generally moves along fine.

lol I know I really don't like IE8, whenever it installs itself I roll back to 7.

Seems like ever since the new forum upgrade a few days ago I've been getting this. I noticed yesterday I went to another forum and was getting the same thing, it seems to be hanging on Google Analytics when moving from page to page - it's either trying to connect or do something with the JS and meanwhile the rest of the page doesn't load. Although if I just hit refresh it loads...

oh well I probably should just start using Chrome as my main browser anyhow.

I keep getting this hanging sometimes when clicking on a link, but recently I have typed a reply, and when pressing "submit" I get the "oops, can't connect to Casinomeister". I then find I have lost everything, even though this "autosave" keeps saving. The problem doesn't simply stop me posting the reply, but deletes all the autosave content.

It is not the internet, because I can immediately connect to websites, including Casinomeister, as though nothing has happend.

Perhaps there is too much "background stuff" in IE8, such as this "Google analytics", and it keeps interfering with the process of browsing the web, and is perhaps why some browsers are faster, they don't get bogged down in this "background stuff".

It's the age old "bloatware" problem, with IE now doing so much that it can't get on with it's primary function of web browsing. I presume faster browsers stick to their core functions, and leave out the "bells and whistles".

No hanging for me, I use Chrome.

However I did notice back in the summer, (I think it was before CM did the last VBulletin upgrade) that I had major issues with the site being slow. Was using Chrome then also.
