Dare I criticize the company most publicly linked with the NSA? I think I shan't... I will say that when ur the biggest, you don't have to be the best. Also, they monitor interweb traffic and 'chatter' for the feds, so I am sure they must be blocking loads of other email servers too...

So why BLOCK emails, and alert people that "something" is happening and driving them elsewhere (such as "free" email, or getting their own domain).

Too many ISPs are taking it upon themselves to determine what spam consists of, and are not allowing users any control of this, such as being able to "whitelist" certain email addresses to ensure they get the emails they want.
