where to host wordpress blog?

sorry if this is the wrong thread but i cant post in the webmasters corner (why!?). i just wanted to ask if anyone can recommend a good hosting services which affordable prices supporting mysql and php for a wordpress blog.

i started one and its hosted by free hostia which is really really slow... it takes around 8 seconds for the index page to load lol...

where do you host your blogs?

WP need a good server (FAST MYSQL) otherwise it'll be very slow.

thanks for your help... damn, it seems like this mysql space is really expensive... but since i dont rank anymore with my regular html pages and stuff like rss seems to become more and more important theres probably no way around it (

so to all: forget about free hostia... either your blog will be down or extremely slow... probably gonna just take the webspace from domain union.

HostGator has better hosting for only $5/month.

How much would you like to spend?

You can try Leaseweb, i used to have a lot of wordpress blogs there and never had a problem. I had a nice shared package for about 90euros per year.

After that i moved to The Planet, because we run a lot of hi-traffic sites, but that's another story, i guess you just need a small hosting plan for now.
