2% is far from nothing. If you were to play 2 tables of 5/10 4 hours a day and win 1 big bet per table hour this 2% would cost you around $600 a year. (8 table hours x 365 days x $10 x 2%) Considering your theoretical rake at full tables would be around $35,000-$40,000 ($.20-$.25 rake per hand x 60 hands an hour x 8 table hours x 365) in this year why do they feel the need to charge you $600 to cash out? In my opinion if they do not disclose this then they really have no justification to charge you this. I certainly would never play there again. Why are you paying them all that rake if they are going to charge you to cash out?

    Change in CityPoker policies

I just wanted to drop in to let you know that we are no longer charging any fees for payouts (other that FedEx or Western Union).

The 2% that was being charged was only in place for a couple weeks & is officially gone.

If anyone was charged the 2% for a withdrawl, we'd be happy to credit your account back for that amount.

Please feel free to contact me directly to have the adjustment made to your account.

    Regards,

    Mike

I think the statement "The 2% that was being charged was only in place for a couple weeks" is a wee bit disingenous (the "couple weeks" part), but...

I'm happy to report that they made good on Mike's promise and refunded my fees for my last withdrawal.

That's interesting. Western Union explicitly prohibits gambling transactions. I certainly wouldn't recommend anybody use them, you don't know what can happen.
