"Shared" Poker Room??

I was chatting whilst playing on wiliam hill poker today to 2 players on my table. The conversation got on to Bonuses and one starting taking about InterPoker. I pointed out this was William Hill site but he insisted he was on Interpoker. Someone else said he was on Littlewoods poker??

Are they all linked together or am I being made a fool of here??

Surely they cant link together how the heck would the casinos keep track of everything??

It is the same concept as Party, Empire, Intertops Multipoker and a couple of others (Coral and Eurobet?) link together. They are called skins.
