Everleaf Gaming to Leave US and France Markets

Everleaf Gaming, the 4th largest U.S. friendly poker network is bailing from the US market after they claim that one of their US processors was the subject of a seizure. It also appears that they will not take new French players. Everleaf skins include Poker4ever, Minted Poker and Luvin Poker. US players can still play but it is expected that will change in the next 24 hours.

The cease and desist letter sounds pretty strong. I hope there are some reasonable places left for US players to play.

I dont understand all the industry ins and outs, or if this is relevant but.....

    http://www.lga.org.mt/lga/content.aspx?id=235373

Note they have terminated an "Everleaf Gaming Ltd" from having a gaming licence - bad news for players with money on there?

I have no idea about the different types of licences or anything btw, just saw the link. They have another type of licence or something maybe?

That is definitely interesting - well spotted!

As pokeraddict indicates above, Everleaf has been in the news in a disappointing way just lately, and the network's communications have not been satisfactory so far on its troubles.

However, skins like Minted Poker and Luvin Poker have been putting out statements, which are presumably based on what they have been told by Everleaf.

None of those statements mention that the licence has been pulled.

This is the latest from a Luvin Poker communication with players:

A spokesperson for Luvin Poker sent players a lengthy and marketing-laden email explaining in summary:

    * The Department of Justice has not seized its funds

    * The decision by Everleaf to exit the US market was not the result of any action by the US Department of Justice

    * All US player monies are safe at Everleaf, which will be turning these funds in to the Lotteries and Gaming Authority in Malta to be distributed to the players.

    * Services to non-US players remain undisturbed.

    * Luvin Poker has not given up on US players and is seeking a way to offer play-money games and tournaments.

    * Again as far as Luvin Poker is concerned: "Real money for U.S. players will be returning in the future."

I personally believe that regulators should issue statements when they pull a licence, explaining why - that would help in protecting players where there are suspicious circumstances.

It appears the class 1 license does not cover poker. Their 3 on 4 license seems to cover poker though and they have one of those.

Everleaf really needs to get on the ball with this situation and issue a statement, rather than leaving it up to its skins' second hand interpretation of what's happening imo.

I emailed support about this the other day and they could tell me next to nothing about it except they no longer accept US players.

    Hello Customer,
    Thank you for contacting us.
As per the new Terms & Conditions introduced by ELG, residents in Malta, France and USA are not allowed to register an account, play or participate in the games and serviced offered by ELG.
For more details please visit our website: Integrity > Terms and Conditions
I am very sorry but I do not have any further information, if you have any questions, please contact the appropriate authority (all details can be found on the website under Terms and Conditions).

I am kind of bummed to see yet another US accepting poker network leave At least it's one that I just started promoting last month.

I also had tried to get an answer from their live help but all they will say is to read the T & C and all my answers would be found but the answer is not there. I tried to tell the idiot on live help that no where does it state how us Americans can get our money from them. I have money on like 4 or 5 of their skins and no way to get it, so once again Americans like me have to get screwed with no vaseline

Found this dated 8th March on the LGA website:-

    Sanctions against Everleaf Gaming Ltd
The LGA Enforcement Unit issued sanctions against Everleaf Gaming Ltd following an investigation which emerged with a number of irregularities in their operation. Everleaf Gaming is being monitored closely to ensure its operation respects Maltese law.
This seems more serious than a mutual agreement with the LGA to leave the US and French markets.

It also seems odd that they will turn over the money to the LGA for US players, rather than pay them directly.

Worse, US players can STILL play, even though there is currently no way to pay them, and no intention of finding another way to pay them until they turn over the funds to the LGA.

Surely LGA sanctions would affect ALL their operations, not just those in the US and France.

As I understand, the only way to still be playing from the U.S. is if you have never logged out since they booted U.S. players. I think at this point, that would be impossible. There must have been an update or a network outage in a month. U.S. players can only get paid if they have a bank account outside of the U.S. to receive a wire. I have very serious concerns about Everleaf's ability to operate, much less pay U.S. players.
