TBH, I'm really not a fan of poker stars. Personally I like microgaming - take your pick from any of the highly reputable brands and they're all pretty much the same, the only thing that varies are the offers.

I was a big fan of ladbrokes before they joined the regular MG network (they used microgaming software but had their own network). The game's were less frequent but they were soooooo easy to beat

Partypoker is a great option as far as I know for non-us players. They have so many different promos and things that I see like every month. PartyPoker owns the World Poker Tour and is big enough to have lots of options yet they are known for having the least amount of sharks at the tables.

That's a good thing if you are just starting out in my opinion
