Not a bad beat, just a stupid move

I was trying to get deep in this $2 tourney when I got a little antsy. After 3 hours of playing it gets tedious. It sent the winner up to second place

VUL there but if it's any comfort you played it quite well. Flat-calling the raise with your stack is fine but in a $2 tourney it's easier just to push. You will see what I mean after being in this situation more that once against unknown players. In this case, njm is trying a bully/stack size move and nothing but. He/she will rarely show up with a big hand here.

PS It's good to see a poker hand posted on CM even if I put you down, just a little

    Good luck at the tables,

    Swede

You're #2 at your table calling a 3 bet shove with JJ? It's a pretty easy fold IMO.

    Good luck at the tables,

    Swede

I seriously thought he hit a pair and was chasing everyone out, oh well, at least it wasn't a $50 buy in.

I am learning poker more and more, with the casino situation I decided to turn to poker a little more.

I welcome any comments, it can only help, but this was a dumb raise, lol.

I may post a nice winner if I ever get that far.

    You're kidding, right?

The player that shoved all in barely had over 2 BB's left. The re-raise only amounted to a 3x total BB bet.

You're going to fold JJ in that situation, with 3 players in the hand and 1 all-in...with a sidepot heads up against the other player? I only have one word for that:

    NIT!

As it was stated before, are you waiting on QQ,KK,AA to play? Or maybe overplay AQ/AK in that situation? Of course not.....

    Think about it:

    $125 ante
    $600 SB
    $1200 BB

At a full 9 seat table, it's costing you $2925 in chips every round.

And you're going to fold JJ pre to a 3x BB raise? In position? On the Button?
Operators: If you don't know what Transparency means, then here you go.....now how about practicing it?

Transparency, as used in the humanities and in a social context more generally, implies openness, communication, and accountability. It is a metaphorical extension of the meaning a "transparent" object is one that can be seen through. ...
