Rakeback info req'd please

Just a newbie at all this poker stuff.
Could someone please explain how these rakeback websites are able to give you your rake money back?
How do they make their money, etc? I don't get it!

If someone could explain in a very 'simplistic' way, I would really appreciate it.
Also, which of these rackback websites are the best/most trustworthy?

Rakeback sites make money because a poker room gives them a higher cut then they give the player. Without the big affiliate though the player wouldn't be able to get a bug cut. Typically the affiliate's cut is 5-10% depending on the room. This covers support, software, promos and of course profit.
