Additions to Boss and MGS Poker networks

CANBET SIGNS UP WITH MICROGAMING POKER NETWORK

IAS veteran to change over immediately

The Microgaming Poker Network signed up another new poker room this week as veteran online gambling site Canbet.com announced that it was switching to the network, which now boasts some 40 brands.

Canbet parent International All Sports (IAS) broke the news that Canbet was moving to Microgaming from Ongame, effective immediately.

Formed by Mark Read in 1996, IAS was Australia’s first licensed bookmaker and is one of the most recognisable names in Internet betting. Offering 24/7 access to betting on international horse racing, harness and greyhound racing, world sport and entertainment events, IAS extended its international racing and sports coverage to the UK following its merger with Canbet in January 2005.

The merger provided the company with the opportunity to extend its product range by providing an online casino and poker room through its UK business.

Canbet.com will use the Microgaming multi-language capability in continuing to target primarily European players. Players at the poker room will have access to one of the most aggressive tournament schedules on the Internet and the opportunity to win satellites to the world’s best landbased tournaments.

Mark Read, IAS, comments, “The addition of Microgaming Poker Network to our range of industry-leading betting services, including our revolutionary new live soccer betting product, is a sign of our commitment to continue to provide players with the best in online wagering and gaming. ”

Roger Raatgever, CEO, Microgaming commented: “We are delighted that Canbet.com have chosen to join the Microgaming Poker Network and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership. We’ve experienced a great first half of the year, signing up significant numbers of operators and expect to see this trend continue into the second half.”

AND PADDY POWER TEAMS UP WITH BOSS MEDIA

Ireland's biggest bookie chooses Swedish software

Boss Media, the Swedish gambling software developer and turnkey provider has inked an agreement with Ireland's biggest bookie - Paddy Power - to supply a multi-lingual online casino in the near future.

The online casino will be based on Boss Media's latest casino platform including a sophisticated back-office tool-kit that will be integrated with Paddy Power's existing customer base and payment solution, enabling cost effective communication with the established player database, says CEO Michael Hallén.

Paddy Power has a strong online presence in the Irish and UK markets as a public company with a dual listing on the Irish and UK stock markets and turnover in 2006 of Euro 1.8 billion. It operates over 220 retail betting shops between Ireland and the UK in addition to an extensive online portfolio of services, which include fixed odds sports betting, poker, fixed odds games, casino, bingo, financial trading, lotteries, skill gaming and auctions.

"We are delighted to welcome Boss Media to our stable of top class software partners, with their strong European heritage and professional attitude we are looking forward to a long and successful partnership," says Graham Keating, Head of Casino and Games at PaddyPower.

So PaddyPower is dropping the WagerWorks platform? This is really sad news to me. Wagerworks is the best non-download platform there is or at least as good as the MG flash casino. Besides WagerWorks has many unique games while Boss Media has nothing interesting except poor version of standard games.

Boss Media games are extremely boring and slow. Video poker is single line only and incredible slow. The Boss Media 5-reel slots are years behind other software providers.
They have a low house edge blackjack which is the only game I would want to play at Boss Media, and I am not that picky actually.

Is it just me that sees it this way?

I quite like Boss Media - the games are sharp and feel better than other platforms.

They do need to update certain games I agree, but people like using the same software! (habit really).

I do prefer MG though but I love WagerWorks too - we need a Casino that offers ALL platforms!!!!

    Hi Guys,

This is Michael from Wagerworks and I just wanted to let you know that Paddy Power will not be dispensing with our sevices you'll be pleased to know.

We have some really exciting games coming out so I hope you to continue to enjoy playing.

Perhaps I need to spend some more time posting on this forum, but last time I did I ended up having to justify myself about 300 times and I simply wasn't getting any work done!!

Anyway, hope you're satisfied that we're not going anywhere.

    All the best

    Michael
