Lee Jones made a post in that 2200 post thread that he nailed Zeejustin cheating in their MTT's as well. ZJ won the Sunday special about 2 months ago at Pokerstars for $137,000.

This is obviously a huge slap in the face that people have been blatantly cheating and flaunting it. Most poker rooms have always allowed multiple entries from the same IP. One can only imagine that this will change quickly and those husband and wives that enter the same MTT's better be very careful. This could become a banning frenzy if this starts to snowball and more big names are brought down.

I feel sure Zee isnt the last big name to get brought down by this type of scandal. Grab some popcorn and sit tight.

Party also shut down his affiliate account costing him (and surely players who signed up under him) who knows how much money.

One of the main reasons is that both online casinos and poker rooms have been illustrating how they have been blocking underage players out of their establishments - obviously this is failing in a very public way. It only takes a couple of high profile incidents to derail any argument that pro-gaming legislators may have. Main stream media eat this up in a big way.

If online gaming is going to be legalized (regulated) for Americans, we'll probably see some sort of ridiculous paranoid ID checking that Americans are so famous for; i.e. carding anyone who appears under the age of forty at the door of some club. This will probably stunt any sort of poker/casino growth in the US.

This situation is clearly cheating, and blatantly admitting to cheating. Partypoker's action to confiscate the funds from the account holder was perfectly within their terms. However, PP should think of some way to give back the money to the people who played in the tournament. In the end, it's basically the people who play who regulate how the games are played. If you want an honest game, report all the possible methods that people are using to cheat. Partypoker gets their rake regardless of how the games are won or loss.

    Hi,
just imagine how much collusion goes undetected which is a bit more difficult to detect than a guy playing the same tournament with 6 different accounts.
I play almost exclusively single table tourneys (under name of "kcsod.com") because I feel by simple virtue of the basic design, that these would be the hardest venues to cheat and be successful.

I usually play the cryptologic poker room because its mostly players from other countries which I enjoy meeting. Anyway IMHO colluding is very easy to spot for these reasons

if you see the same two or three names always sitting and playing the same table: red flag goes up.

That said: it is not uncommon at all to encounter the same names on a regular basis but I have yet to ever think successful collusion had happened in my presence... carried on by any of these familiar opponents.

To further my point I will quote myself in response to a player going out in 4th place when he accused those of us remaining that we were in collusion (simply because we were regulars and were sociable amongst ourselves).

    quote:
Toss any one of us a pair of pocket aces and see how buddy-buddy we are...
    unquote:

Which was the truth. My point being that there is a second part of the equation that absolutely MUST happen in order for collusion to occur ... and be successful. *Please remember the latter as I will expand in it soon enough.

Somebody has got to make a move where the partner benefits ... which in my experience if it is a benefit of any kind of substantial influence on the end result of the game ... then its also going to be a move which will stand out as odd as getting propositioned just outside your church's front door while still not actually finished shaking hands with the preacher during the exit process.

I'm certain there is quite a bit of unsuccessful collusion by small-timers thinking they can swoop in and out-smart all those suckers just waiting to be plucked .... but the times I ever even became suspicious of such a situation ... one of the two suspects would go down shortly after and usually the alledged partner was not far to follow.

I truly worry very little about collusion for those reasons but I must admit I never dreamed of somebody owning 6 of the 10 seats at the table (or more). But even if that was the case it would be necessary to take 1st and 2nd for the whole thing to be even mildly attractive to anybody that's wanting to be anything more than small-time.

2 Accounts at 1 IP for Me

My husband and I both have an account at Party Poker and a few other poker rooms for we both enjoy the game and play every once in a while. I had to get permission to have 2 accounts under my IP address.

They allowed this because we are on 2 different shifts, I work during the day, he works evenings and nights so we are NEVER on together at any given time. I guess now, that its been a long time ( a few years) and we never broke this agreement, they are still allowing us to do this.

So having 2 accounts on 1 ip can be done, but it must be requested and not abused.

I hadn't looked at ZeeJustin's blog since he was busted cheating. Something reminded me of him recently so I decided to take a look to see if his blog still existed.

Ha! He's playing some of the live pro tourneys now. In one of his recent blog entries, he whines about the way UB is running the tourney and how it's "extremely unfair".

Also, he has now deleted the "apology" he posted in Feb/March after he was caught cheating. What a donk!

And he's back playing online poker somewhere, but of course he doesn't reveal where or under which ID(s).
