Then the service tolds me that they don't accept credit cards.

It's still very misleading, as AMEX hasn't allowed gaming transactions for quite some time now.

I doubt you will find anyone reputable that accepts AMEX for gambling. From time to time you may find a sportsbook that offers them temporarily until they get caught. Legit online gambling transactions have a code that notifies the credit card company what it is (7995 I think) and AMEX automatically rejects all of these transactions.
