I have set this up on my desktop as a direct link. You have to register to vote, giving name & email address (nothing more).

I clicked on vote, and there wasn't any feedback as to whether anything had happened (such as a confirmation message on the site saying "vote accepted"). I therefore have no idea whether this is working, a view shared by other participants it seems going by the comments.

"Triangle Girl" has extended the lead further, but Kiesha has a fighting chance to catch up.

Some have questioned the eligibility of the "Triangle Girl" entry, because there is no obvious ongoing need for help with the disability such as special equipment. The "deep meaning" in the story seems due to artistic interpretation years later, I doubt whether a 6 year old intended such deep meaning at the time of writing. It is a bit like those abstract paintings that art critics praised. It turned out they were "abstract" due to having been painted by an ELEPHANT

Hey VWM...you know, you are spot on with your statements, and there were others too that had voted and the vote wasn't calculated. Strutta, said that although there was a glitch, the votes' were properly calculated. I had asked how the votes were based, and if there were some kind of documentation that could show that the votes were fair. Also, I had mentioned that there could be some joe-blow that was testing a bot, and joe-blow might not even know he was affecting this certain contest, he could of just randomly picked any contest, and used his bot for testing, right? Thus, the reasons alot of sites make you type the security code. Rubbish! "Triangle Girl" herself has posted in the comments that she is "the blonde one" in the video. No way is "the blonde one in the video" SIX at the time it was made, although she DOES show the classic signs of someone who has worked hard to overcome Cerebal Palsy.



I said DON'T, she might get her railings confiscated if "security" figure this one out. The rules CLEARLY state ONE vote per person per day, and no more than TWO per household per day. Facebook voting circumvents these rules, and may not be detectable as would be multiple DIRECT voting through the website. What is also very clear is that you are asked for NOWHERE NEAR enough information to enable them to actually ENFORCE this rule when registering to vote

It is effectively one voting account per email address, and whatever you put into the "name" field. There is no limit to the number of separate email addresses someone DETERMINED to rig the contest can (mis)use, HOWEVER, the site could also be tracking IP address and even machine addresses (MAC) of votes, and could in theory use this to check for vote rigging, and possible disqualification of a contestant. This might NOT work down the Facebook "attending" route though, as ONE person could get TWO votes per day, and get clean away with it (1x Direct + 1x Facebook). Also TWO people per household can do this, so theoretically each person can get FOUR votes per day through near undetectable "advantage play", yet be able to stay within the contest rules.

Triangle Girl may have a FAR better Facebook operation than Keisha, and this is WITHOUT the potential for other media such as Twitter being used to provide 6, 8, 10, etc votes per person whilst being hard to detect as a single person making multiple votes.

In the end, are voters even CONSIDERING how deserving a case is for the prize, they could be voting for the VIDEO, rather than the cause.

I'm afraid there is more chance of getting paid by Cool Cat Casino off a bonus than of Keisha pulling this one out of the bag in the closing hours

Your right VWM, I am incorrect about the video, the video was just made, I made a mistake. I believe, if I am correct, her story was from when she was 6, and now older, yes you can clearly see that she is older. And yes, I have seen several affected by cerebral palsy and just a couple yrs ago, lost a young girl 'a friends daughter' because she aspirated while sleeping, so very sad. The triangle girl has overcome yes. And all finalists are suffering w/ very sad disabilities, breaks my heart, and makes me thank the Lord that I have a healthy daughter.
The votes aren't actually based on facebook 'attendances' another of my mistakes, when you click 'attending' it is actually showing support, and this has no outcome on the actual votes, as facebook 'I believe' has nothing to do w/ the contest. The contest 'I believe' is through Strutta, and the site is www.filmpossible.ca I may have gotten some things mixed up, I am battling cancer now & have been real sick for over a wk w/ pneumonia, as well, I just learned about the contest myself a couple wks ago. Although I need rest, to get better, I think this lil girls life is far more important, and if I can do anything in my power to help her, I'll crawl to the computer, just to get my vote in.

The 'Man' is definitely in this, as all of you have been! And I cannot express my gratitude enough! The official results are announced on the 5th, but from the current status it looks like Triangle Girl came first, and Keisha third.

From the numbers, and the length of time this was open, it doesn't seem that any finalist had an unfair advantage due to use of bots, or other types of "advantage play".

It would have required a network of people to produce enough "dodgy" votes to change the outcome, yet not get caught easily.

The delay between the close, and official results, may be a sign that they ARE double checking the validity of the contest, else why not make the announcement straight away.
