Got this SPAM from Communicator Corporation, who are sending it on behalf of the "Bloody Hell" newsletter (All In Marketing Group).

It is for Fortune Lounge casinos, however, they have SPOOFED THE FROM ADDRESS so that it looks like it is DIRECTLY FROM FORTUNE LOUNGE THEMSELVES!!!!!!!

You will be taken out immediately. I assure you we do not wish to bother you, only to inform. and entertain you.

So, they CLAIM that by signing on with a "Partner casino", I am now receiving this to my PRIVATE email address, KNOWN ONLY TO CASINOS I HAVE JOINED!!!!

Now EVERY "partner casino" of theirs is "in the frame" for this.

This could also back up my other theory, that they were given my email "in confidence" by a casino who use Communicator Corporation for promotional mailers, but feel this gives them the right to use these addresses to bulk out lists for their other clients, whom have NOT received DIRECT permission from me to add me to the list.

It ALSO says "If you wish not to receive this newsletter, please please, opt yourself out at the bottom of the page. You will be taken out immediately."

There is no *&^%$£ OPT OUT LINK!!!!!!!!


Is this enough to demonstrate that Communicator Corporation are a ROGUE MARKETING GROUP, and just as players are asked not to patronise the rogue casinos, shouldn't CASINOS stop feeding these rogue marketing groups by giving them contracts (and presumably our email addresses).

There's more later (perhaps), because this is a Microgaming casino, and I can determine whether there is an affiliate tracking cookie (identifying exactly WHO organises this "newsletter"), or whether the cookie is "default", which would pretty much implicate a direct contract (no affiliate tracking), which would presumably have to come from an organisation directly employed by Fortune Lounge.

I CANNOT see what I am looking for, a variable of the form "afftag=xxxxx", or similar that would usually perform the tracking, but there is a "linkID" passed of 1375176 and 1375178.

There is also a btag, which normally just identifies which banner is being used, but theoretically this could also indirectly identify the affiliate

This is not just spam, but the spammer has gone to alot of trouble, and has resorted to MISREPRESENTATION (spoofing "from" to appear as a genuine FL mailer), and may have LIBELLED their "partner casinos" by claiming they are sending this because I have signed up to one of them, and presumably somehow given permission for my email address to be passed on for OTHER PURPOSES to Communicator Corporation.


Well, they DO have my email address, and SOMEBODY must have passed it to them, and IN CONTEXT TOO, of there being a person on the other end of the email address (me) actually interested in online casinos.

They do NOT allow "unsubscribe", as although they claim they do, there is NO "unsubscribe" functionality included)

What they seem to be doing is messing with the headers, so that I see "Fortune Lounge" as the sender. The actual email address in the header is NOT a Fortune Lounge one, but this spam and a GENUINE Fortune Lounge mailer arrived one after the other, and BOTH had "Fortune Lounge" as the sender, and did GENUINELY lead me to believe I had been offered some kind of regular player bonus - sadly, not so, but an invitation to join one of Royal Vegas, Platinum Play, or 7 Sultans.

So why EXCLUSIVELY promote Fortune Lounge in a supposed "newsletter".

I got the source through the "read as HTML" link at the top, and this revealed even MORE bullsh1t, there have only been FOUR issues so far, all stored on c-f-1.com. The "Issue no xxx" on the newsletter itself is a complete fiction.
