Its standard spam nothing to do with CWC. I see loads of similar in my spam trap every week. These muppets just send out millions of these with random casino names on the basis that a) even if 0.01% of the recipients they hit are members and click thru they can still make some money or, more likely, b) they want to plant a virus/trojan/key logger on your PC. The giveaways are the gmail address, the .com.br in the message id and the .be domain you'e supposed to click on and may contain the virus ready to plant.

Cast the net wide and see what it drags in.

I get hundreds of spam emails every week sent by.....me! Apparently.

    Heatherad,

I think CW has been hit by those nasty spammers from King Dice (GoldVIP) I got an email yesterday that I thought was from CW and it was from them.

    Nasty little buggers!!

I was pretty certain it was spam by the pointers Simmo listed. I'm just hoping casinos getting targeted like this are aware of all these little sidetricks that the spammers are trying to pull off.
Thanks for the confirmation there Simmo! and anniemac

Sidenote: Just noticed too they are getting very creative now with sending promo mail named after Lauren who works promo at ClubWorld...geesh!

Won't ask what the cat was doing in your hand though

I believe it was May, 2007.
I just sent a copy of the email to support at ClubWorld. Figured it wouldn't hurt in seeing it.

The reason I asked is because I don't recall getting one of those emails - thus it probably wasn't mailed out to all CWC customers. Maybe just a fluke, you know, like those phishing emails you sometimes get from this bank or that bank claiming that they need you to update your information because they've upgraded their security procedures? Sometimes they actually get my bank name right

Ah yes, the good old fake bank emails! Almost had me fall for one of those once but contacted my bank first
Guess I'm just blown away with this recent rash of spam emails using ClubWorlds name. I can honestly say that in all the time I have been a customer there, I have never gotten a spam email from someone using their casino name. It hasn't been until recently that they have started to pour in.
