Villento SPAM!

i really don't know where these people get my details from! I'm only registered here and at 32red!

i've just got some spam from james@besttimeusa.com

offering 150% purchase match, the signature on the bottom of the email says it is from James Johnson the 'manager'. Surely the manager of Villento can't be sending this spam out. The images do have an affiliate ID behind them though so maybe it's some muppet of an affiliate.

what gets me is that it says this at the bottom

This is no good at all if you use an ewallet such as Neteller, as the Email address given to the casino has to be the one that Neteller hold for you, so the casino HAS to be given the "real" one, and not a "spamtrap" one.

Even where the casino can let you register your Neteller Email separately from the one you want them to contact you on, they STILL have to have your Neteller one, and now KNOW it's your "good" one and worth far more to a buyer than the one you ask to be used for communications with them.
If you get spam on the ewallet Email, you STILL would not be able to tell which of the casinos who had it, sold or passed it on.

The only way around this would be for ewallets to use a different method of routeing payments that do not involve the third party having your working Email address, but having some kind of reference that can be used only to pay monies into your ewallet, and not used to spam you on.

The above which is all the more reason for EWallets to allow members to have multiple email addresses associated with their accounts. That way the casino would never have to have a player's real address.

Maybe we should push the issue with Neteller, MB, etc...

Neteller CS have trouble with even the simplest of issues, and "management" never respond to "feedback" beyond occasionally thanking you for it before filing it away for later review.

Crap! I did not think about this I guess you could still make
smap trap emails for forums, and the casinos you do not plan on depositing at...

What I find strange is that I've played at Villento again a time or two since my break, and they do not send me promo emails.

Which I'm finding that by 'returning' to gambling online is rather like I'm not there at all at most casinos. Once removed from email/promo list = always removed?? Some day if I think about again, and have time, I may ask some casinos about this...

Hi Mousey! I get weekly promo emails from Villento (good ones)...
I always tell my players to contact the casino when they stop
getting promo emails.. Many times the name has been removed
by mistake or glitch. Of course add the support addy to your safe
list also. I found that many times this will actually get you
on a "better" list as an added benefit... with biggers bonus and ect..
