I don't think Betfair would be liable anyway would they? They are just an Exchange meaning the punters who lay and back are the ones who pay. Never used it but that's my understanding of it.

I think betfair are covered by their T+Cs on this one - technical error = all bets are voided.

Betfair's rep is a mess, maybe thats why they are bringing in a new CEO.
